GLEN MILLER SPRINGS DRAW GREAT CROWDS OF WARM HUMANITY
The cool bubbling springs in Glen Miller park are easily the most popular places in Richmond on these hot summer nights. In order to get a taste of the refreshing water it is necessary to wait in line in true barber shop fashion for several minutes. And in reaching .the springs a pedestrian has little show of ever getting across the roadways without getting injured for the automobiles literally swarm over them.

E. school Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cole had as their guests Sunday, Mrs. Emma Swain of Dublin, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cole, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Knipe of Bentonville, Misses Lettie and Laura Jordan of Rushville. ... .Mrs. Louise Kimmel and son Arthur, of Muncie, are guests of Miss Barbara Kern and Mrs. Martha Stover. They will also visit Mrs. Elizabeth Kimmel and family here and Mrs. Vashtl Kimmel and family east of town Mr. and Mrs. Wellington Swearingen and son of Mooreland, spent Sunday with Mrs. Flora Ferguson and family Mr. and Mrs. F. PETERSBURG, Ind.. July 18. Three blind tiger operators were locked up with their stocks of liquid refreshments in their sight. One of the men got so thirsty he wrote his daughter telling her he would die if he did not get a bottle of beer. He did not get the beer and he still lives.

LAY OUT GROUNDS FOR CHAUTAUQUA
All arrangements for the opening of the Chautauqua headquarters at the Y. M. C. A. on August 2 have been completed, W. O. Wissler, camp secretary announced today. The Chautauqua programs are in the hands of the printers and will be ready for distribution within a few days. The work of laying out the grounds and erecting the tents will be begun on the last day of July.
WILL SEND RECRUITS TO FORT HARRISON
Sergeant Bond received instructions from Lieutenant Coppock today that men accepted at the local recruiting Station for the National Guard be sent to Fort Benjamin Harrison for train
ing. The companies on the border will receive the recruits only after they are thoroughly drilled and seasoned.
