The next meeting will be held at the home of Miss Dorothy Snider. The Queen Esther Society of the 'Past Grand Eden Rebekah Lodge, Number 30, will meet Monday afternoon with Mrs. Jeff Wilson, 214 North Seventh street. Mrs. George Reid gives evening party In honor of Mesdames Louis Geis and Gordon Ribble of Indianapolis. Miss Mary Morrow at her home near Campbellstown, Ohio, in honor of her guest Miss Ruth Spencer of Bedford, Ind. A delicious supper was served in a grove near the Morrow home. The guests were Misses Ruth Hieger, Beatrice Sherman of Indianapolis, Ruth Spencer of Bedford, Ind., Hazel Meek, Edith Runge, Pearl Earnest, Mary Mather and Mrs. Royden Parke. Misses Laura and Margaret Leesman of Columbus, Indiana, are spending the week-end with Misses Esther and Lillian McNeil, North Eighth street. Thursday afternoon the hostesses gave a picnic at Glen Miller Park for their guests. Sunday Mr. David Boyer will, motor over from Columbus and spend the day. 'The Leesman guests returning home with him. Miss Dorothy Wagner will return Saturday to her home in Tippecanoe City, Ohio, after spending the week with Mrs. Martin Rowe, South Sixteenth street. As a courtesy to Miss Dorothy Wagner, of Tippecanoe City, Ohio, Mrs. Martin Rowe assisted by Mrs. Russell Cox entertained with an informal party Tuesday afternoon. Flowers and. ferns ornamented the rooms. The hours were spent socially and with music and games. Refreshments were served. JJL Dances of Bedford, Ind.; Hazel Meek, Beatrice Sherman, Pearl Earnest and Mrs. Royden Parke. To spend the week-end with Miss Helen Nicholson, East Main street, Miss Edith Salyer of Novasota, Texas, arrived this morning. Last evening a number of persons enjoyed a dance in the Knights of Columbus hall. Piano and drums furnished the music. The affair was in honor of Mrs. Gordon Ribble and Mrs. Louis Geis of Indianapolis. On the lawn at the home of Mrs. William Dudley Foulke, Linden Hill, the Domestic Science association will give a garden party Friday afternoon, July 21, for the benefit of the day nursery. The proceeds will be 'used to defray expenses at the nursery during the month of August Admission will be fifty cents and all persons who are interested are invited to attend., The guests may play in clubs or for individual scores. Those who do not care for the cards may bring their needlework and enjoy a pleasant afternoon. No tickets will be sold, but the treasurer will be on the grounds to collect from each guest. It is urged that all persons interested bring their friends and attend the function. Light refreshments will be served. There will be favors for those making the high scores. The committee in charge is composed of Mesdames H. H. Huntington, chairman; Philip S. Twigg, E. S. Curtis, Rudolph G. Leeds and Julian Cates. Seventy-five reservations have been made for the supper party and dance to be given this evening at the Country club by members of the July social committee with Mrs. Julian Cates as chairman. As a courtesy to Misses Leona Beard Erma Hower and Katherine Kendrick of Dayton, O., Misses Grace Kelly and Olive Lewis are giving a luncheon bridge party Saturday at 1 o'clock at the Country club. Mrs. Bess Louck-Taylor of Chicago, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eben Louck. Miss Dorothy Land entertained mem bers of an auction-bridge club this aft ernoon at the Country club. Special guests of the club were Mrs. Edwin Williams, Miss Helen Nicholson, Mrs. John Clements, Miss Edith Sayler of Novasotra, Texas, and Emerald Hasecoster. After the game a dainty luncheon was seryed. Mrs. Rudolph G. Leeds was given the favor yesterday afternoon when members of an auction-bridge club were entertained to luncheon by Mrs. Walter Engle at the Country club. Mrs. Leeds entertains the club next week. Miss Mary Morrow has as her guest at her home, Ruth Spencer of Bedford, Indiana. Mr. Frank Conway has returned from Indianapolis, where he took the state examination in pharmacy. For the pleasure of Mrs. Bess LouckTaylor of Chicago, Mrs. Eben Louck gave a prettily appointed thimble party yesterday afternoon at her home, East Main' street. Mr. and-Mrs. Charles Drifmeyer were host and hostess last evening for a meeting of the Luther League of Trinity Lutheran church at their home. The attendance was large. Reports from Hymnal committee and others were made. A social hour followed. The League will give a picnic in two wee'ks for members and their families. Miss Alma Waidele entertained with a 6 o'clock dinner at her home, South West A street in honor of Miss Marcella Kelly of Kokomo, Indiana. The evening was spent socially and with music and games. The souvenirs were corsage bouquets of sweetpeas. The guests were intimate friends and numbered eight. The Missionary sewing circle of .the St. John's Lutheran church met yesterday afternoon at the church. Twenty-five members were present. Members of the aid society of the Trinity Lutheran church were entertained yesterday afternoon by Mrs. Weber. The attendance was good. Rev. Oscar Tressel made a splendid talk. Refreshments were served. In two weeks Mrs. Henry Erk entertains the aid society. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown and children of Chicago, are the guests of relatives in this city. AUXILIARY PLANS OUTING AT GROVE
CENTERVILLE, Ind., July 14.
