An arrangement completed by George D. Howsare, . operator of a wireless station licensed by the government, causes a single tap of the city fire bell at 12 o'clock noon each day and announces to the populace absolutely correct time. 1 His wireless station is operated at the home of his father, Rev.; McD. Howsare, of First Christian church. . City council has also ordered that a whistle at the plant of the Eaton lighting company be sounded three times each day to announce correct time at 6 a. m., 12 m. and 6 p. m. Thegovernment maintains lights all the way from ordinary lanterns on some parts 'of the Mississipi river to a 25,000,000-candlepower light: south of New, .York, the most powerful in jthe United States, If not in the world.

FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind., July 12. Mr. Ed Bockhofer and family attended the funeral of Policeman Little. Mr. Little was the brother of Mrs. Bockhofer. ...The Wesleyans will hold an all day meeting at Willow Grove park Sunday, June 16. The evangelist, Rev. Aaron Worth, will be chief speaker, assisted by several visiting ministers. Sunday school services will be held at 9:30 a. m.
