PAGE THREE WELLER OBJECTS TO LEVEL SPAN HAROLD SAYS POLITICS ENTERS BRIDGE FIGHT should bring dut the facts as they stand,- regard less-of- feelings, about the situation then and now. "It might be possible to get some government aid on the bridge. This should be investigated. The state must help. When asked what has become of the. citizens' committee of 100 Dr.' Harold said that it was still working. The legal committee has about ccme to the conclusion that if a level bridge is constructed, Richmond will not have to pay for the approaches. . "There is some carefully organized plan against a level bridge and I am sorry to say that some politics is involved," declared Dr. Harold. VACATION GRANTED TO GRACE PASTOR PIERCE CASE DROPPED ELL-ANS The case of Basil Pierce vs.Frank Cordell asking for $2,000 damages for the alienation of his wife's affections was dismissed from circuit court this morning upon the request of the plaintiff. - Absolutely Removes Indigestion. One packagr I proves it 25catandrngjTists.The official board of Grace M. E. church last night granted the Rev. U. S. A. Bridge will take his vacation during the last of August, when, on account of the Chautauqua, all services will be discontinued -at Grace church. He will spend his vacation at Wawasee, Ind. The only objection made to a level ' "bridge at the Citizens' meeting In the court house last nlgbt was made by ; Ralph C. Wellcr. ! "But I do not fear, a long bridge will ever be built." Why, I i wouldn't be afraid. to run a traction en"The 5,000 people on the west side deserve a level bridge and if they would stick together and demand It they could get it," said Dr. I. 8. Harold, at the citizens meeting last night. ' "The Main street bridge will be a monument either to our business ability or to our short sightedness. A slanting bridge would hurt business now and as long as it would stand. Wants History Prepared. "It might be a good thing just at this time to let some of the -older citizens compile a history of just how Richmond got the make-shift of a bridge eighteen years ago. Everybody wanted a level bridge then. This history JOHN C. BOCKMAN, CHIROPRACTOR If the spine is right the Man is right Investigate Knollenberg's Annex, 2nd Floor. Phone 1S5S. ; gine over it today. Put in a concrete i abutment at the eaFt edge of the I water and let the street car company ; build its own mb bridge across.
