The Wetleyan Sunday school held their annual picnic near Old Center, with an enrollment of seventy-one on July 4 Those attending the picnic supper In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kdgerton, along Nolansfork Creek were: Mr. and Mrs. William Bond, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Lacey, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Edgerton, Misses Mildred Davis, Ruth Motley and Naomi Dwjgglns, Messrs. Harold Hough, Earl Clark and Lloyd Pyle....Mis3 Celia Barnes spent the Fourth with Blanche Hampton of Richmond Postmaster Harrison and wife, together with Benjamine Kelly and family of Richmond, were picnicking in Boren's woods Minnie Busby from Saskatchewan, Canada, is visiting her brother. NEW PARIS, O., July 6. Patriotism surely was manifested in NewParis beginning early Monday evening and continuing until late on the evening of the Fourth, if noise is any indication. A number from here attended the . celebrations at Dublin, Ind., and Greenville, while still others spent the day entertaining with family" dinners.. Old Glory was everywhere to be seen, there never having been a more lavish display of the national colors. On the Sunday preceding, the several local ministers used patriotic subjects and the churches were also decorated in flags ami bunting.
TEETOR EMPLOYES GET WEEK'S REST AT REGULAR WAGE
HAGERSTOWN, Ind., July 6. The empioyes of the Teetor-Hartley Motor Company were given this week off on full pay, by the company, as they had promised. The employes have been working several hours overtime at nights to make it possible to get the week off. Their pay envelopes Saturday night contained their wages for two weeks, instead of one and in addition, pay for overtime at overtime rates. There are approximately 200 employes.

CHESTER, July 6. The Quaker Girls' " quartet of Richmond gave a concert in connection with the meeting of the Epworth League Sunday evening. A family dinner was held Sunday at the home of Morton McMahan, north of town. The affair was in honor of the birthday anniversaries of E B. McMahan and his daughter, Mrs. Grace Fouts. of Richmond. CENTERVILLE. Ind., July 6. Like the ever-changing pictures thrown on the movie screen is becoming the ownership of the Old Trails theatre, as it has again changed hands and is the property of James Burton Wharton of Richmond. It has been operated for about three weeks by John Davidson, who obtained it from Charles Porter, Mr. Porter having made his fortune by running it one month. The new
management promises to keep up in: reputation of the theatre, and will et; deavor to please its patrons. j
