CHURCHES UNITE TO HOLD SERVICE AT CHAUTAUQUA

EATON, O., June 30 Rev. William Scaell, p. D L. Lw D., general educaUonal aecretary of the United Brethren chorea, will deliver the sermon next Sunday evening when churches of this city hold a union meeting In the Chautauqua tent at the south school campus. - The program arranged for a meeting to be held In the afternoon Includes flve-mlaute addresses by paators of the several churches. The subjects to be discussed are as follows: "Prayer Life and the Church. Rev. J. C. Shaw of St. Paul's M. E. church; "Finances and the Church," Rev. McD. Howsare, . The British ships stop all ships from the United States which are going to any of the neighboring countries of Germany and make the captains prove that the goods will not eventually reach Germany. Under generally accepted rules of international law, shipments may be seized If the capturing ship can prove that

the goods are eventually to reach the enemy. - r '.. .... . Condemns German Act. The speaker condemned the sinking of the Lusitania by the Germans as a grave violation of international law. He said that although it was a technical right that neutral nations could let its citizens ride on the enemies slips, much trouble could be avoided If President Wilson would give up this right. . , ' He said that Germany had given up her submarine warfare because she could not stop enough ships to make a blockade legal under International law.
