CROCKETT BACKS VETERAN SQUAD FOR CAMBRIDGE

George Gano Holds Two Records

That Russell Crockett, a Wabash man, the moving spirit of the reorganized and rejuvenated Cambridge City Gray club, has gathered together an assortment of diamond lights who bid fair to cut a wide figure in Wayne county baseball championship circles this year, is evidenced in the showing of the Grays in the Initial game of the season at Rushvllle Sunday. The ease with which the Rush county boys were dispatched speaks for itself. Crockett has a veteran team, a club that should give the Quakers a royal scrap in the coming game at Athletic park, Sunday. While Cambridge City players form the nucleus of the team, Crockett has succeeded in importing a number of foreign lights, who strengthen the team materially. Bill Ludwig, the Indianapolis veteran, is with the team probably for the season. Em. Haas and 81ew Knight, a couple of the best In Richmond S. A. L. circles are with the Grays. Altogether the Cambridge GrayRichmond Quaker clash at Athletic park the coming Sunday should be one of the big games of the year.
