Funeral services will be held"-Trom the Friends' church here, probably some time Friday. Definite arrangements will be announced later. "My Wife Has Gained Eight Pounds Flesh" MUNCIE. Ind., June 13. "My wife has gained eight pounds since she started taking Tanlac a few weeks ago," A.-J. Symmes, a well known resident of this city who lives at 533 West Eighth street, said recently. "For twenty-two years," he continued, "Mrs. Symmes has suffered from stomach and kidney trouble and she also has had rheumatism. She felt tired all the time and frequently she sufferedfrora headaches. Pains in her right side were severe. She was very nervous and she had a poor appetite. "Mrs. Symmes saw in the papers the accounts of Tanlac's help for others and she decided to try the new medicine. The tired feeling has left her already and she gets up in the morning now feeling rested, refreshed, bouyant. She sleeps well at night now. The pains have disappeared from her side. Her appetite is fine and she can eat anything she cares for. The nervousness also has been relieved greatly." Tanlac, the Master Medicine, is the ideal tonic, building up to health and strength, weak, run down nennle. Tan. Your Daily Laugh V ' it ENTHUSIASM. Oh. see the throng rise up and dance. And hear its mighty cheer! (Vhat for? A foul tip has deprived The umpire of an ear. $100,000 FIRM Continued From Psge One to be placed in the hands of five trustees who secure their power from the board of directors elected by the subscribers to the fund. The purpose, as outlined, is for the "development of the industrial and business Interests of the City of Richmond." The company will have the right under the statute "to acquire by purchase, donation or option, real estate within the corporate limits of Richmond or in the suburbs for the purpose of encouraging and improving the growth and material prosperity of the city, and to sell, mortgage or otherwise dispose of the real estate for the same purpose." Invite Industries Here. The guarantee fund of $100,000 is to be used in causing industries to locate in Richmond or vicinity. E. M. Haas, secretary of, the Commercial club, explained to the members last evening that as soon as the money is subscribed, part of it will be used to meet the expenses Incurred In the recent negotiations which brought the United" Refrigerator companies here. The Commercial club spent approximately $3,000 in these negotiations, which will be met by the proposed guarantee fund. The plan of operation, Mr. Haas explained, is arranged so there can be no possible leakage In handling the funds. Before any monev is snent. It must first be recommended by the new industries committee of the Commercial club. This committee will make an investigation, and If deemed proper, a recommendation will be made to the board of directors of the club. The board will then investieate and mak a recommendation to the Commercial club as a whole. The club will then recommend to the board of directors of tho Indus trial Development company and this board will make recommendations to the trustees, who will authorize the expenditure. Meets No Opposition. The plan met with no opposition. George Knollenberg and E. G. Hill, however, asked that a detailed explanation be made and that a postponement of final action mieht be taken. After further consideration and an explanation of the necessity of taking immediate action, they withdrew objection to immediate action. "There is no need of putting this matter off," said George Seidel, in answer to Mr. Hill and Mr. Knollenberg. "It is a question of whether we want to do or do not want to do. The plan is simple and is a new departure for the Richmond Commercial club. It will mean the accomplishment of more things like bringing the Refrigerator company here." The proposed industrial expansion company is an outgrowth of the -experiences last fall, when the club failed' in the negotiations toward bringing several large industries to Richmond. At that time the plans failed for lack of funds. The proposed plan would have at least $100,000 which could be called into use for such purposes. 1 HOLLANSBURG Miss Flossie Diehl of Reid hospital, Richmond, is visiting relatives and friends here for a few days. ....Miss Mary Stuck spent Saturday and Sunday in Union City.... .A large number from our community attended the "old-fashioned singing" at Bethel, Ind., Sunday. They reported a large crowd in attendance Services were held at the Christian church Sunday morning and evenins. Rev. Gott having been called to preach at a funeral, Mrs. Gott filled the pulpit here. She is a fluent talker and the people were glad to meet her. -
