New Castle, In the shape of the Maxwell baseball team, the Maxwell band, some one hundred gas-propelled vehicles and probably some four hundred New Castleites, la scheduled to lnvode Richmond Sunday morning at about 10 o'clock. The occasion Is the Richmond-New Castle Ilamcnd areument billed for Athletic park, and other events to be staged la connection with the feature number. The Richmond Club Buiueemmt
this morning received word from New
czEiie to the effect that the Maxwell band, one of the best musical organizations in the state, would be sent with the New Castle delegation. New Castle and Richmond are rivals in every sense of the word, and a decisive defeat handed to the Rose City club would mean a great deal to the Quakers. Memories of incidents with New Castle in the old l.-O. days are
suu rememDerea by Richmond bugs, who predict a come-back Sunday afternoon. Maxwell Brown, who pitched the hard-luck game against Remington's Connereviilians last week, will start the game against the Quakers. Mlnler will serve for Richmond.

DUNING'S SPORTOSCOPE
Willard-Monghan. F ELLS-FLOTO RINGSIDE. June 9. Jees Willard, champion of the world, entered the equared circle at 10:02J2. Sixty-seven-male fans and Nathaniel Seigle ovated. Willard seemed well fed and happy. At 10: 03U Zip Monghan bridged the inr.ddy chasm and he too entered the iig. The principals were gorgeosuly tt'.ired. Tom Jones tinkled the chariot starter's bell at 10:05. The big fight v.at on. Summary by rounds: First round Willard seemed unvonied. He made a fine appearance.
Mcnghan-, as a comedian,- was -ratherf
teed. The esthetic work was splendid. Second round Willard bowed to tho public. (He had forgotten it the first time. Willard peckfd at Monghan, but didn't land. (N. Seigle at tlus time was clamoring for more action.) Third round Both men were apparently strong at the start. Neither showed signs of fatigue. Willard, if anything, was more alert and congenial than in the preceding chapters. No knockout was scored. Local Sports. Reviewing the scenes staged immediately after the circus crowd was dismissed. Eddie Was Right. It was Ed. Fry, manager of the
Johnson-Fry team of the S. A. L., who 1
authored the "Rain Saturday and more of it" prediction.
DEPENDS. ON WEATHER
On the behavior of one J. P. largely depends the success of the Knights of Columbus baseball fracas billed for Athletic park Sunday morning. The schedule calls for a flare between the Vets and Spartans. The Spartans dropped one to the Krawlers last Sunday and Frank Kiser figures his team to wreck vengeance on Jimmy Sharhitt's followers.
GAMES ARE POSTPONED
With every baseball diamond in the j city a sea of mud and with conditions j Impossible for play, the fifth round of i the S. A. L. was called off at 10 ; o'clock this morning when inspection ! of the diamonds was made. Presi-' dent Karl Meyer officially cancelled
the schedule for today.

Jonn Peter wagner, oeg paraon Honus wagner is still the same old dashing player as of yore. Although Honus is one of the oldest players in the game, Father Time has dealt lightly with the veteran Germahi and he covers the short position for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the same remarkable manner. Honus still beats out bunts, and fierds the fast ones as well as he has during the nineteen years he has been in the game. For the information of those who think Honus has "gone back," it is only necessary to say that he recently got three hits against Erooklyn in one game.
Was it Real Tussle? Was or wasn't the Gotch challenge match staged in connection with the "athletic carnival" last night, a stall, debates the local sporting fraternity today. Who was the gent who remained with the world's champ mat star seven minutes and four seconds, they want to know. Information from persons who say their yarn comes straight is to the effect that Gotch's opponent was none other than on Frank Keisler, of Redkey, Ind., a eilo builder, who at present is working in this neighborhood Keisler, they say, is a farmer by occupation, and makes no specialty of the mat game.

C. A. Schwan was chosen as a successor for Arthur M. Roach as physical director of the Y. M. C. A. at the regular board meeting last night. The new director will take charge some time in August. He appeared personally before the board last yght and is a visitor at the "Y" today. He says he will make no radical changes in the system which Mr.
Roach has used. At present Mr. Schwan is physical director of the West Chicago Y. M. C. A. He has had extensive experience as a play-ground instructor and he teaches swimming each summer at the Y. M. C. A. college, Lake Geneva.
