Tuesday afternoon Matthew Brooks and Harmon Davis of Greensfork, Edwards brothers and Miss Grace Garrison of Economy, were at Sugar Grove cemetery to place flags on the graves of soldiers who fought to save the uniqn. EATON, O., June 1. Records Beven-ty-flve years old have been found in Preble county's -court house, and furnish convincing evidence that this day and age is truly one of high cost. Two contracts bearing date of 1853 show that the school directors at the village of Gratis paid Mary A. Gram and Christina Thomas $50 each for teaching school sixty-five days at that place. Another receipt shows that the county bought four cords of wood for the prosecuting attorney for a consideration of $3.75. An order in payment for one day's fee as witness and mileage of fifty-six miles involved an expenditure of $2.43.
