Savage, owner of Dan patch, the world's champion pacer, whose record, of a mile in 1:55 still stands, is one of the largest figures In the harness racing game, and has done much to keep the trotting and pacing sport up to the mark. Mr. Savage maintains a large stock farm at Minneapolis, where at present he has 250 standard and registered trotters and pacers of all ages. These include stallions, mares, colts and Tillies.
