If Henry J. Topping, the Greenwich (Conn.) gclfer, plays true to his present form, he will figure largely in national golf annals before the end of the season. Topping was the sensation of the early season tournaments at. Ardsley. and Garden. City. He annexed first honors at both places, and the season is but two weeks old. Topping has entered the Metropolitan championship tournamtnt, which will be played at Nassau, L. I., next month and is looked upon as a likely candidate for first honors. Mr. Topping is the son-in-law of Daniel G. Reid.
