.The man mho tried to gain entrance Into the Richmond dental offices laBt Tuesday night is thought to have been a dope fiend. Probably a person addicted to the use of cocaine. Tuesday evening about 7 o'clock a cocaine fiend visited the office of Dr. George B. Hunt and tried to persuade the doctor to give him ' some of the drug. The cocaine was almost all out of his system at .the time Dr. Hunt said, and the -man was almost wild. "A man in that condition is liable to do almost anything in order to get some of the dope," Dr. Hunt said 'today. . ." .. All Indications show that the door of Dr. F. S. Anderson's office was tried early in the evening. The man evidently was nervous because he only

Miss Mary Kennedy, the new county visiting nurse, will "be placed under the direction of the county health officer. At-a conference with the health officer this morning, it was decided to make the nurse a deputy health officer. E. M. Haas, secretary of the Wayne County Tuberculosis Society, said the location of her headquarters had not been decided but an office would probably be provided in the court house. An office may be arranged with Miss Grace King, domestic science super
visor. The other consideration is to
ave the nurse located .with the city
visiting nurse.
; Miss Kennedy was instructed by the
executive committee of the society to confine her work chiefly to the county
and the only work that is to be done in the city will be in the antituberculosis campaign. . r '-
