Opening Games. 1 I. G. C. vs. A. S. M., at Athletic. Pennsy vs. Starrs, at Playground. Ad-Hill vs. Johnson-Fry, at Natco. Westcott vs. Natco, at Beallview. But few red-fire festivities will feature the opening day of the Saturday Afternoon League, Saturday. Instead. ' the teams will cast aside the fireworks and endeavor to offer the fans four real basball games. All teams are set, the umpires have been selected, the diamonds are in shape, and with the pending consent of the weatherman everything will be in battle action, when the umps at the four respective diamonds "gives the play-ball signal at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Pose For Photograph. All teams are to meet at the Y. M. C. A. Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. A group picture will be taken of the league membership. After this procedure the players will March to Eighth and Main streets, where cars will be boarded for the four respective "fronts." On the eve of the opening contests, a good deal of fanning Is in order. If any partiality is to be shown any team, the Natcos perhaps will come in for a more substantial share of the forecasted honors. All agree that the Natcos have a well-balanced, fielding and, xloutlni club, sc. team .that will hold its own with the best. The Starr Piano and Pennsy clubs loom mighty good to a certain clique of dopesters. Teams Include Stars. Taking the teams as they are listed on the schedule, every club includes in its membership several diamond lights. The old guard, as It were, the Natco crew, with the Logans, the Holmeses, Guy Davis and Haas all admit they look pretty good. The "strong" part

of the Natco is its clouting department, its "weak" point is its pitching squad. It is admitted that the Nats are not overly strong in the fling section of the line-up. G. Davis and Ev Haas, the receiving end of the battery, are there. The remaining 50 per cent is a trobue Hi Puckett and Herb Logan will have to settle for us.

Al Mayer and his Starr Pianos are

a bunch of likelies. He has a battery.

an infield and an outfield tucked away somewhere in his list of fifteen eligt-

bles. With Al Goslin. P. Witte and

Al himself, to work out battery prob

lems, the S.-P. crew is now any way near the shoals. With Reddinghaus, Knott, Stein, Llchtenfels, Kiser, May-

rol, Miller, Reld, Fossmeier and Krei-

meir to fall back on for service, May ers squad look promising.

Then, there's Omer Todd and his

Pennsy craft.

They. too. look eood. With Carl

Roop. and Warren Lucas, fllngers par

excellence, and with O. Craycraft to receive, Tood has a battery combination. The Pennsvs loom a llkelv con

tended for the S. A. L. cheesecloth.

The Westcott club, for r t1m con

sidered the peer of anyf has been crippled somewhat throueh the loss of a

number of mainstays. Winters, Hawe-

Koue, ujiBtron and possibly another dependable, have left the Westcott plant. E. R. Martin, manaeer of the

Automakers, however, believes the

club with the men at hand at present-

win oe able to hold its own. The Seeders, according to Bud John

son, are present Little need be mentioned, but the names of the men Os and Lou Quigley, Taggart, Klinger,

Biacir, E. Knight, Diggs. W. Bailey. Townsend. Benson. Butler. Johnson

and Ungrecht.

Meeks is Confident. Phil Meeks is responsible for the assertion that the Ad-Hill team will prove good winners some times, and good lossers other times. With most

of the "old Ad-Hlll brand on hand,

Meeks believes the team will Azure

in the percentage standing. L. Win

ters, Brunton, Hoover, Jones, Parrish, Bly, Milles, Stevens are men of more or less experience. Owing to the fact that the S. A. L. appearance will be the initial one for the Johnson-Fry ?and Indianapolis Glove team, little-' is known of the strength of these clubs. Both teams however, number in their club rosters players of more or less experience. Of the 23.332 miles of railways In the United Kingdom, 10,306 miles are single lines.'

Music and the dance are inseperably connected with the life of every people. They are a spontaneous expression of the joy of life to sing and dance and play. The Starr Phonograph . brings all this to you as no other sound reproducing machine can. With perfect fidelity to the origin of the record. With a tone showing absolutely no distortion in its amplification, With a tone that does not irritate the ear drums. With a tone that has a greater carrying power, yet is not piercing. The reason Is very apparent in the Sounding Board Horn, the Graduated Throat, the Changeable Tone Arm and the Greatly Improved Sound Box. , A phonograph cannot be described, it can only be demonstrated. May we have that privilege? The Starr Piano Co. 931-935 Main St. ; Richmond, Ind. Agents Wanted for Unoccupied Territory.
