The course should not be compulsory, according to the report. . Another' important recommendation of the surrey experts is the organization of afternoon and evening courses for practical and home nursing. Lectures and demonstrations dealing with these subjects more fully than is done in the day schools, should be given by doctors and trained nurses. PLANS CONVENTION OF SUNDAY SCHOOLS
Programs for the Fifty-Second Annual convention of the JVayne County Sunday School association, have "been issued. Every school in the county will probably be represented and . the general public " in invited. Lodging and breakfast will be furnished free for all who attend. TAUBE DROPS CASE
The suit of ' Frank Taube ' against Morris Jones, attempting to recover money lost in a wager, was dismissed in circuit court today, costs paid. It was alleged by the plaintiff that Jones secured $100, a wager on a competitive performance of automobiles, al though he did not rightfully win the bet.-

Arthur. Ii. Trester, former Earlham student and at present superintendent of the Alexandria schools, has resigned to accept a position as superintendent of the Martinsville schools. He is secretary of the Indiana High School Athletic association. '
SCHOOL BRINGS $335.
District No. 4, on the Williamsburg pike, known as the Starr school, was sold to Jesse Hunt yesterday at public auction for $335. The building and one acre of land was included in the sale. Hunt expects to remodel the building Into a dwelling house and use the land for a truck garden. The school was abandoned on petition of the patrons.

FRANKFORT, Ind.. May 5. Harry Olivet, murderer of his mother, will be taken to Michigan City immediately to begin serving a life term imposed by a jury which found, him guilty last night.
