"Cocking classes for boys are good preventions for truancy." This was an expression of Principal D. D. Ramsey, speaking of the boys' cooking classes at Whitewater school. ; Mr. Ramsey explained that the boys who took cooking were seldom abent on cooking class days. Not only that, but they are more careful in their deportment. They gladly put on .aprons that the girls' sewing classes make for them.

RAE SELECTS TOPIC

Special Mothers' day services are being planned at the First Presbyterian church, Rev. J. J. Rae announced today. The Sunday school is arranging for a program. The Rev. Mr. Rae will speak on "Mother Mary" at this service.

The Session of the First Presbyterian church passed favorably on the Richmond Federation of Churches at its meeting last night. This was the only important business that came before the session.
