CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., May 1. Knfghtg of Pythlag lodge, No. entertained members of .their families in the K. of, P. hall Friday evening. Three hundred persons were in attendance, among whom were three charter members, Lee Pitman, F. C. Moscaugh and Jesse Pauf. Charles 13." Shlveley of Richmond, who becameaffiliated with this . lodge in 1875, and Who began the practice of law in this city at the age or 21, in an interesting address paid high tribute to this his lodge home. An' interesting feature of the program was the girls' quartet of Dublin, with Mle Elma Henby, accompanist. Other features were readings ' by Miss ... Bessie Buhl of Centerville; a "duet by MIsb Virginia Kabel and Master Harold Hughes. . A banquet was served by the com'mlttee, W. E. Austin, George Barrett, A. H. Wiseman and Albert Boyer.
CHAUTAUQUA DATE FIXED FOR LIBERTY
LIBERTY, Ind.,: May. 1- Dri E. R. Beard, local secretary of the Lincoln Chautauqua association; has received word from Chicago that the Union county branch of the association will be held this year fom August 25 to 30. The program has not been announced.

TOWNSHIP LACKS FUNDS TO BUILD
EATON, O., May L With the defeat of a $7,000 bond issue by voters of Camden, school matters in that village

plicated situation. After centralization of the village aifd township schools
have been decided, voters favored a bond issue of $60,000 for a new building. When bids were asked on the construction, the Jowest was $7,000 above the estimated cost, and the last issue was calculated to provide the deficiency. The outcome is not determined, but it is probable new bids will bo asked or the plans altered.
MEET POSTPONED
LIBERTY, Ind., May 1. The annual county field meet was again postponed because of inclement weather. The date was first set for April 22, but was postponed'because of rain until Friday, April 28. It was again postponed, be
cause of rain, making It impossible to, use the track for dashes and distanceraces. The affair has been postponed I Indefinitely.. - ; j

ATTEND STATE MEETING
LIBERTY, Ind., May 1. Those in attendance from Union county at the State Democratic convention at Indianapolis were the Hon. L. J. Cully and the Hon. John Kauffman, also J. E. Stevens, chairman of the Union county central committee, and Sheriff E. E. Post. Mrs. Stevens was made and assistant secretary of the convention.
