All of our ideas about how Joe Stecher, the Dodge, Neb., wrestler, wins his bout, will have to be reconstructed. Stecher has been touted as the greatest "scissors hold" artist in the world, but now he comes forward with the statement that it is his hand grip and not a leg grip that wins bouts for him. In explanation of this be said recently : "They all say I win my matches by clamping on the old body scissors with my legs, but as a matter of fact I wouldn't be a great wrestler today if it wasn't for my hands. It's this way: the body scissors is a great hold, but if it isn't backed up by some good holds with the hands that put an opponent's arm out of commis
sion it wouldn't amount to much. Tf voiir onnonent has his hands
and arms free he can make a pretty good fight against the scissors. If you pin him with hard grips on the wrist or along the arms, then he can't fight much when you get the body scissors on him."

The Westcott Motor club is one of the strongest clubs of the semipro organization, a?d its loss would be felt In S. A. L. ranks. It is probable that actual removal of the plant to Springfield may not be for some time and until that time the W. M. club will remain a part of the S. A. L. club membership. , E. R. Martin, who represents the Westcott in the S. A. L., has made no announcement as to probable action of "his, team. .
