Plans announced yesterday show that New Castle is to have'a first class auditorium which will accommodate the high school basketball team of that place. According to C. W. Jennings, part owner of the new auditorium, the hall will have a capacity of some 2500. Richmond is satisfied that all fans who make the trip to New- Castle next year will get to see the game.

WANT NEW Y. M. C. A.

NEW CASTLE, Ind.. April 22. A movement' has been launched to obtain $75,000 for a new Y. M. C. A. building.

It begins to look as if there are two lightweights who will do a great deal toward bringing the class back to the pre-eminence it enjoyed in the good old days of Joe Gans, Battling Nelson, Ad Wolgast et al. Now that Bonny Leonard of New York has developed a. punch, there are two men in the class who undoubtedly are too good for Freddie Welsh over a twenty-round or longer route. These boys are Leonard, a comparatively newcomer, and Charley White of Chicago, who for two years has been hot on Freddie's trail for a long bout.

"Perspiration leagues" or summer bowling circuits will get under way at the Y. M. C. A. alleys Friday evening, April 28, according to Alley Manager Tim Sprouse. Two leagues comprised of teams of the Westcott Motor and National Automatic companies will start their respective seasons at this time. Complete plans for the two circuits have not been announced. The Natco league probably will include eight teams. The Westcott Motor circuit will include but four. Nights the leagues will bowl have not been determined. Summer bowling, to the casual observer, might seem a trifle too much of a good thing. However, with the installation of electric fans in the basement alleys at the "Y", manager Sprouse figures, it that pin sharks will be glad enough to come down to the association alleys to get cooled off this summer when the thermometer begins to flirt with the century mark.

In listing the above lineups in bat

Captain Sullivan himself, at this distant hour, wouldn't be able to furnish the information. Personnel of the Marion lineup is correct, but. only the powers know how the local club will lineup for the initial skirmish. One thing is a near certainty, however. Pete Minier and Sullivan will start as a battery. Raney or Stephenson will be at first T. Kelly, Herb Logan and G. Reddinghause. in all probability will be at the infield posts. In the outfield, the safest shot is the combination of Schattel, Cooney and J. Holmes. The team leaves via the C. & O. Sunday morning at 9:15 o'clock. A number of citizen rooters plan to make the trip.
