Been. Looking For In Ecner
Rev. C. Raymon Isley has issued a letter to the Congregation of the Second English Evangelical Lutheran church concerning the Holy week and Easter season and the proper way to observe it. The letter follows: "The Holy Week and Easter season, commemorating the deep passion of our Lord for the sake of a sinful world and His glorious resurrection from the dead, is again drawing night. "This precious season calls us. to prayer and meditation, repentance and consecration. The cares of this life its joys, sorrows, temptations and responsibilities often lure us away from close fellowship with our Lord. Indifference, one of our greatest sins, often steals upon us unawares and we become neglectful of many religious duties, and perform others in a half-hearted way, -which must bring grief to the heart of the Saviour. "That this eacred season may be a lime of refreshing, let me, as your pastor, urge such an observance as
will honor God and benefit your souls. Make such sacrifices as will enrich your own spiritual life, and make you a blessing" to others. Avail yourself of the means of grace the Word and the Sacraments, and the Church. These are the divinely appointed channels of blessing. If we have wandered from Him, they are the paths by which we return."

GIRLS GIVE DRAMA
The movement to build more parks in every city in the state has been given impetus through letters received by local bankers from the state park committee asking for subscriptions to the campaign to arouse interest among the residents of the state. Several members of the Wayne Coun
ty Fish and Game Protective associa-j
tion have also received letters from the committee urging co-operation in the movement. - "No citizen is so vitally interested in the Dark movement as the sportsmen of the state," the letter reads.
"The opportunity Is before you to show
your interest and patriotism in your state by making a subscription in such sum, no matter how small, as you may feel able. You are requested to interest the children, as it seems to the committee that the rising generation, of boys and girls be invited to join in the subscriptions, thus instilling into their minds the love of the great unsullied outdoors." Members of the local Federated clubs hare also been asked to. co-operate by sending subscriptions to the central committee. "
STUDY BONO PROJECT

ReicL who objected to the plan, rt is mot known what action the committee will take as it is understood that the committee is divided in its opinion regarding the advisability of the financial plan proposed.

- $5 FROM COMEDY

Announcement was made by Orville I
Price, secretary of the Master Painters and Decorators union, that subcontracts will not be allowed after May 1. The members have been in the practice of accepting sub contracts for painting from contracting carpenters. Painting contracts hereafter will only be considered with owners of buildings or architects. The decision of the painters and decorators w asreached, Mr. Price said, because of evils arising from the custom of making agreements for the completion of residences and other buildings for occupancy.
