"The Crimson Trail," at the Lyric tonight, tells the story of an evil woman's regeneration through the awakening of love. Antoinette Halyey, called "Toni," is a thoroughly vicious, reckless and sensual woman, who runs a luxurious gambling house in one of the large cities of Northwest Canada. She has had as her favored lover, Dick Hallam, a captain of the royal mounted police. Hallam comes to her resort to break off the affair, announcing his intended marriage to another. Tout's Jealousy is aroused and, finding that all her efforts to prevent the marriage are, unavailing, she vows to Dick she will break up the home and regain him for herself. Pendleton county, Kentucky, famous for; its honey, seems to have some reason to be proud, data showing that several bee keepers there gathered 10,000 pounds each and one 35,000 pounds. REPORT MANY CASES . OF RHEUMATISM NOW Says We Must Keep Feet Dry; Avoid Exposure and Eat Less Meat. Stay off the damp ground, avoid exposure, keep feet dry. eat less meat, drink lots of water and above all take a spoonful of salts occasionally to keep down uric acid. ' Rheumatism is caused by poisonous toxin, called uric acid, which is generated in the bowels and absrbed into the blood. It is the function of the kidneys to filter this acid from the blood and cast it out.in the urine. The pores of the skin are also a means of freeing the blood of this impurity. In damp and chilly, cold weather the skin pores are closed, thus forcing the kidneys to do double work, they become weak a"nd sluggish, and fail to eliminate this uric acid which keeps accumulating and circulating through the system, eventually settling in the joints and muscles causing stiffness, soreness and pain called rheumatism. At the first twinge of rheumatism get from any pharmacy about four ounces of Jad Salts; put a tablespoonful in a glass of water and drink before breakfast each morning for a ; week. This is said to eliminate uric acid by stimulating, the kidneys to ' normal action, thus ridding the bloodof these impurities. H Jad Salts is inexpensive, harmless and-is made-from the acid of grapes and lemon Juice, combined with lithia and Is used with excellent results by thousands of folks who are subject to rheumatism. Here you have a pleasant," effervescent lithia-water drink . which overcomes uric, acid and is beneficial to your kidneys as well. Adv.

FRENCH STRATEGIST
NEW WAR GOVERNOR v. v. v. v. v. . ,-. Gen. Dubail, to whom credit for the turning of the Germans on the Marne has been given, recently was named as the military governor of Paris. In view of the fact that the safety of the French capital rests with the military governor, the situation is a most responsible one. In this picture Gen. Dubail is wearing the steel trench helmet. - MIDDLEBORO, IND Mr, and Mrs. Brooks and family spent Sunday with relatives in Richmond.... Mr. aiyi Mrs. Charles Little and daughter took dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Clark. . . . Frank Allen of Whitewater filled the pulpit here Sunday morning.... Mrs. Medora Little and Hattie Brooks called on Tura Thomas Friday afternoon.... Mrs. Delia Brooks and daughter of Jacksonburg spent a., few days last week with her brother, Clem Alexander.... Delmar Brooks' playmates reminded him "of his fifth birthday anniversary Thursday afternoon. Refreshments were served to the following guests: Irene Williams, Anna Marie Clark, Dorma Williams, Velma Baker, Helen Williams, Delmar Brooks Paul Williams,. Wayne Brooks,.., Isaac Brooks. Many Recoveries Fronm Lung Trouble Eckman's Alterative has restored to health many sufferers- from lung trouble. Read what it did in this case; Wilmington, Del. "Gentlemen: In January, 1908, I was taken with hemorrhages of the lungs. . My physician, a leading practitioner, said that it was lung trouble. I got. very "weak. C. A. Lippincott of Llppfneott's Department Store, Wil mington, Del., recommended Eckman's Alterative that had done great good. I began taking it at once. I continued faithfully, using no other remedy, and finally, noticed the clearing of the lungs. I firmly believe Eckman's Alterative saved my life." (Abbreviated.) (Affidavit) JAS. SQUIRES. ' Eckman's Alterative is jost efficacious in bronchial catarrh-and severe throat and lung affections and upbuilding the system. Contains no harmful or habit-forming drugs. Accept no substitutes. Small size, $1; regular size, $2. Sold by leading druggists. Write for booklet of recoveries. Eckman Laboratory, Philadelphia. (Adv.) Start Tomorrow and Keep It Up Every Morning Get In .the habit of drinking glass of hot water before ' breakfast. We're not here long, so let's make our stay agreeable. Let us live well, digest well, work well, sleep well, and look well. What a glorious condition to attain, and yet, how very easy it is if one will only adopt the morning inside bath. Folks who are accustomed to .feel dull and heavy when they arise, splitting headache, stuffy from a cold, foul tongue, nasty breath, acid stomach, can, instead, feel as fresh as a daisy by opening the sluices oZ the system each' morning and flushing out the whole of the Internal poisonous stagnant matter. Everyone, whether ailing, sick or well, should,' each morning, before breakfast, drink a glass of real hot water with a teaspoonful of limestone phosphate in it to wash from the stomach, liver and bowels the previous day's indigestible waste, sour -bile and poisonous toxins; thus cleansing, sweetening and purifying the entire alimentary canal before putting more food into the stomach. The action of hot water and limestone phosphate on an empty stomach Is wonderfully Invigorating. It cleans out all the sour fermentations, gases, waste and acidity and gives one a splendid appetite for breakfast. While you are enjoying your breakfast the water and phosphate is quietly extracting a large volume of water from the blood - and getting ready for a thorough flushing of all the Inside organs. The millions of people who are bothered with constipation, , bilious spells, stomachtrouble; v others who have sallow sinks, blood disorders and sickly complexions are -urged to get a quarter pound of limestone phosphate from the drug store. This will cost very little, but is sufficient to make anyone . a pronounced crank on the subject of inside-bathing, before breakfast.
