Owing to the fact" that" last year's Class was unusually large' and that a majority of the students prefer to take confirmation work next year,' the class to be confirmed at the First English Lutheran church, is smaller than usual. LAFAYETTE, April 1 1 .Mrs. Adeline P. Nichols is in a serious condition at the hospital from blood poisoning caused by the scratch of a thorn when she was -arranging a bunch of roses. Amputation of- the hand probably will be necessary to save her life.
