If Bill McGee had not fallen off the water wagon first, he would not have fallen off the delivery wagon later, and landed in the penal farm. Not knowing that Carl Ackerman was born in this pious Quaker city, state of Indiana, U. S. A., why shouldn't the English affix the Herr? They wouldn't mistake O'Flatherty for a German, would they? " Passing fraudulent checks on Richmond people seems to be the most profitable of the indoor sports today. They get away wlth.it, too. But the man who steals 5 cents worth of coal from a railroad goes to the penal farm. A woman complains to her hus-. band that he seems pre-oenupied when she visits him in his down, town office. On the other hand, if he made a fuss over her, she would suspect he had been flirtIng with the stenographer. War is certainly a terrible thing. It is working a hardship on the TJL6. in many ways. A Terre Haute dispatch says denatured whisky is being used to manufacture powder for the allies. An editorial say shoes are going up. We noticed the other day, they were1 about knee high.

That many school children are teing allowed to become chronically constipated through parent's oversight, Is a startling fact frought to light by recent investigation by school authorities. Hastily snatched meals so that there will be more time to play, the use of ready-to-eat cereals, and. the general neglect of the call, of nature are given as principal causes. s j It is the duty of mothers to see that children attend to the call of nature before going o school. True Secret of Keeping Youthful Looking
''" (The Beauty Seeker.) "'Tha real secret of keeping young-looking and beautiful," says a well-known bygienist, "is to keep the liver and bowels normally dive. Without these requisites, poisonous waste products remain in the system, polluting the blood and lodging in various organs, tissues, joints. One becomes flabby, obese, nervous, mentally sluggish, dull-eyed, wrinkled and sallow of face. "But to get liver and bowels working as they ought, without producing evil after-effects has been the problem. Fortunately, there ia a prescription of unquestioned merit, which may now be had in convenient tablet form. Its value is due largely to an ingredient derived from the humble May apple, or its root, which has been called 'vegetable calomel' because of its effectiveness though, of course, it is not to be classed with the real calomel of mercurial origin. There is no habit-forming constituent in 'sentanel tablets that's the name and their use is not followed by weakness or exhaustion. On the contrary, these harmless vegetable tablats tend to impart tone and elasticity to the relaxed intestinal wall. Sentanel tablets, which may be procured from any druggist a dime's worth will do will prove a revelation to any constipated, livertroubled person.'! . ,
