To the Organizations
We know you want to win otherwise you would not have entered the race. But, to win, you must feel that you have done your very best. Now have you been doing this? Have you called upon or have you telephoned every person from who you think it is possible to obtain a subscription? We find it is the experience of many that after canvassing and talking to many and receiving their subscriptions they are led to believe it is impossible to obtain another, and then they think of this man or that man who has not been seen and before they know it they have another long list of prospects to work on. There is an opportunity this week to do wonders and with weather conditions it is possible to find people in just the right mood to want to read and you can, if you will make the effort, secure thousands, yes millions of votes before the last day. If you have not been doing your, best then you have a better chance to get subscriptions. Our suggestion this week is: "Do Your Best," and that is all any of us can do.
To the Communities
Most of you have been interested more or less in this campaign quite a few of you have either seen the moving pictures or know of some who have you do know this, that either one of the prizes, the moving picture machine or the Starr phonograph would be a splendid addition to the organization in your community. But have you been doing your part to assist in the winning? You are the only one that can best answer that question. We talked to a great number of people in your community and each and every one would like to have one of these prizes, but they have not all been doing their best. Now here is our suggestion if you have already given your subscription, then work to bring one or two more to the head officer. If you have not given your personal subscription, then telephone the head officer (you will find his name opposite your organization) and advise him that you will help with your subscription for one year. It is your duty to your community to assist and if you feel that you have done your part then your conscience is clear, otherwise we believe you will regret it later.
