FIGHT COLONY WRANGLES OVER CHANGE OF F.10BM AGAINST CHAMP WILLARD
Thirty hours before the ring classic at Madison Square Garden, New York, Saturday night, Richmond's sporting fraternity is still trying to solve the 'query: "What chance has Moran against Willard?" Though opinion expressed by the Quaker City colony are about as varied as weather forecasts in the month just in the offing, and range all the way from "Willard in three rounds" to "Moran on points," gist of opinion is that the husky Texan cowboy will win out and win handily. The Willard-Moran scrap, the latest word in the ring world since the day that Jess shoved Jack Johnson into the realm of oblivion, is the sole topic of conversation at local cafes, cigar stores and barber shops. Moran Proves Clever. That Moran is a clever, game and heavy fighter with nerve to stay the limit is conceded by Richmond ring game adherents. But that Moran, stacked up against the hulk of brawn and muscle representing the world's champ heavy mitt star, should have a show in the coming mixup, is a proposition that doesn't seem to be sifting through the mental grasp arrangement of the Richmond public. And still there are a number, yes, and numbers of Richmond fans who would stake their bottom sheckel on the fist in performance of Moran. They argue thnt Willard is but a big hulk of beef who knows little of the inner workings of the fight game. They claim Moran, with his superior knowledge of the finer points, will furnish a big surprise tomorrow night. Outside of minor takings, few wagers lire being placed by local

It will give a larger number of high school students a chance to participate in athletics. It will he a big thing for Richmond high and the city itself." Principal Pickell believes the plan a good one, but wishes to make a full analysis before reaching a definite conclusion. "It would be a great thing for the school and the city, alike, but is the plan feasible V" said Mr. Pickell. "While I have nothing against the plan and in fact am for it, I would like to learn more relative to the system used in financing the meet."

Harold "Brownie" Brown and his crew of all-stars sailing under the non de plume of the Richmond basketball five, will play its first game tonight, when Modoc is invaded for a game with high school quintet of that place. All season Modoc has been clamoring for a glimpse of the Richmond prides. If the trusty Fords do not fall the Quaker party, Randolph county fandom will have that glimpse tonight. Modoc a team which has not been defeated this season will prove a real opponent. Eaton and Camden probably will be next. Only senior members of the high team will play tonight. However, Richmond authorities will take no chances and will allow only ex-R. H. S basketball lights to participate. W. Meranda, an old high school star, and Al Laning, Earlham star, probably will fill the vacancies caused by the eligibility restrictions. The teams will line up: Modoc. Richmond. Dow Brown Hudson W.
