AUTO CYCLE AGENTS MAKE LARGE EXHIBIT AT AUTOMOBILE SHOW
. Exhibits of the latest models of motorcycles are unique and will attract attention. The Elmer Smith and William Waking agencies, dealers in motorcycles and bicycles have attractive displays of two wheeler. E. J. Wright company of Dayton has an Interesting exhibit. The exhibit of Excelsior and Indian motorcycles represent all that might be classed as the latest In this line. The newer models of these two makes show the results attained by motorcycle manufacturers who desire to offer a machine that combines speed and comfort with safety. The E. J. Wright company of Dayton has an exhibit of a cycle which it claims will supplant the bicycle. The machine, which resembles an or- ! dinary bicycle, is propelled by a mo- : tor which fits into the front wheel. The machine is the first of its kind 1 ever shown In Richmond. One of the largest and most varied displays is that of the local branch of the International Harvester company. Trucks of every size and description, trucks for the heaviest hauling, and machines of lighter weight for delivery ! purposes are listed in this exhibit.
The Harvester exhibit is one of the largest of the chow. Jones Hardware company has a display of auto accessories that includes every article needed in the equipment of the motor vehicle. Tools and repair kits for the machine, and Tobes and other articles of comfort for the autolst make up this interesting exhibit.
ADDITION TO COST $1,500 CONSIDERED BY SOUTH SIDERS
With a membership of 460 the South Side Improvement association last evning voted that action be taken at the next meeting on an extension to the administration building. The estimated cost Is $1,600. An addition of fifteen feet is to be built on the east side and a ladies' room is to be addPd. The extension will include an office for the board , of directors. Five members were accepted. They are: Edgar Doren, J. A. Mesker, Jr., F. R. Chamness, R. J. Oatzek, Thomas Tsrlcdson. John Habing asked that the city authorities repair the electric light at the South E street entrance of the South Seventh street park. Attention was called to several trees that have died and need to be replaced. Henry Bode reviewed the status of thf south Bide bridge problem. The kind of paving for the proposed span was discussed. .
URGE CAR OWNERS TO JOIN PAGEANT
Automobile owners in the county are being urged by the parade committee of the Richmond auto show to decorate their cars next Saturday afternoon and participate in the parade. Seventeen hundred automobile s owners have received post cards which read as follows: Decorate your automobile and park It, headed west on North A street, somewhere between Seventh and Sixteenth streets, in Richmond Saturday afternoon, March 25, for participation In a gigantic good roads parade, which will start at 1:15 o'clock under the direction of Marshals -Paul Comstock, Omer Whelan and H. Official O. K. of the state board of accounts was given all bridge contracts and negotiations that have been carried on by the county commissioners, according to W. O. Seaney, member of the board. Mr. Seaney with L. S. Bowman, county auditor, and Gustave Hoelscher, county attorney, conferred with the state board Tuesday. Letters of complaint had been written by a number of Wayne county residents whose names were not divulged by the state board.
