Ifyou're timid it Is well to know that this is the time or year wfcen artists run wild. Thoy hide tn corners and spring out at you unexpectedly some in aspect weird enough to frighten an innocent bystander half to death. This particularly so at their balls, costume balls, when they "'dress up,' as It were, in costumes more imaginative than historical, because they love to be grotesque.
The accompanying Illustration from "In the Shadows" id the faramounl Pictographs gives an excellent idea ot aow some or toem 'ooked, in oiack and white, after one of their -'parties. ' They sought out the studio where the new motion picture silhouettes are being made for the Paramount Pictures Corporation and performed before the camera many unique antics. Ibis new screen idea conceived by O. Allan Gilbert, the well known artist ana produced in the tSray-Uilbert studios, has created much comment.

Cocoanut Oil Fine For Washing Hair
If you want to keep your hair in good condition, be careful what you wash it ith. Most soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much allkali. This dries the scalp, makes the hair brittle, and Is very harmful. Just plain mulsified cocoanut oil (which is pure and entirely greaseless), is much better than the most expensive soap or anything else you can use for shampooing, as this can't possibly injure the hair. Simpl.- moisten your hair with water and rub It in. One or two teaspooni'uls will make an abundance of rich, creamy lather, and cleanses the hair and scalp thoroughly.
