BERLIN, March 17. Ai a result of the war Germany hii 1.892 female bread and cake bakers. About twelve hundred of them have passed the examination for "Journeymen" and over two hundred are established as 'boss bakers. Nearly five hundred are still apprentices. The female apprentices receive their board and one or two dollars "spending money" a week, while the wages of the helpers range from three to six dollars a week with board.
