Top, W. Olep; lebt, bottom, Seth Low, third. Right, bottom, Harry Legore. Although Yale received the worst beating In her history on the gridiron last fall, tshe Is hopefully looking to ether branches of athletics to retain her prestige In the intercollegiate world. We3ley Oler, the high-jumper, is showing remarkable form and is good for a first or second in the Intercollegiate meet. The outlook for a winning crew Is hopeful and Seth Low, third, as captain, has a number of veterans from which to pick an eight. Although Harry Legore, the football star who was declared ineligible last fall for playing summer baseball, may not be reinstated in time to join the baseball team this spring, a certain amount of hope is held out that the ban will be lifted. Legore is a remarkable coach, in addition to being a good player, and will assist in rounding the nine into shape. EARLHAM FAILS TO STOP DRIVES

OF METHODIST! GREENCASTLE, Ind., March 15. Spectacular passing and dribbling featured the 25-to-17 affair taken over by the DePauw basketball crew from the Earlham five in the closing game of the season for both- teams here last night. Denton for the Methodists, and F. Winslow for the Quakers, were individual stars. DePauv proved the aggressor from start of play, and determination to even up for the defeat at Richmond last week soon began to tell. The lo cals led throughout the first half, which closed 13 to 7, DePauw. In the second session play became faster. DePauw seemed to have the edge on the Quakers and for a time had the visitors on the run. The Earlham guards could not fathom the attack of the Methodist forwards, who scored repeatedly in the final. Muncie and Richmond polo teams rated as the best in the states today clash at the Coliseum tonight in the final game of the season for both clubs. The, largest crowd of the year is expected. Records of games show the Magic City boys away to the fore in the number won. Thirteen games have been played by the rival factions. Of these Muncie has won, nine. Richmond has won only four. Two games of the 13 were overtime. At that many Richmond fans believe Richmond has the better team of the two as the recent series with the Fall River Easterns would seem to prove. Rated against the Indianap olis and Fall River teams the Quakers have a much better record than the up-state crew. In its games with Muncie, Richmond has always been the victim of "breaks." In tonight's battle at the Coliseum, Richmond will lineup with its regular five. Bob Griffith, who returned to his home city Racine, Wisconsin, at close of the Fall River series, arrived in the city this morning. It is altogether probable that Center Edgington, of the Muncie five, will be unable to play. Doc Harold, the ancient of the Indianapolis quintet, will be brought along to fill the gap. This would mean that Watson would have to lock horns with Hays. Prior to the death of Senator Shively, and following the announcement made by Watson that he would contest in the state convention against New for the senatorial nomination voted upon last week, a poll of Wayne county's fifteen delegates indicated that at least four of them would support Watson. ymmptouBDS AHAT most people bev lieve to be the disease Catarrh, is really only a symptom. The most common symptom of the presence of Catarrh in the system is an inflamed and tender condition of the breathing passages and the blocking of throat and nostrils with mucuous. It is a frequent misike to treat this symptom and neglect the actual disease that causes it. Catarrh is the result of poisons and impurities in the blood. These impurities must be removed before the disease can be cured. The use of washes, nasal douches and soothing creams on the irritated membranes, can have but little effect they merely ease the local irritation but do not reach the disease. Catarrh is a disease of the blood. To cure it you must go to the seat of the trouble. S. S. S. has proved in its

contest against New and couteew

against Hays for the second senatorial nomination New will of course receive the solid support of Wayne's delegation. How the - Wayne delegates would line up in a contest between Watson and Hays is a question. Delegates Back Watson. At least ten of the fifteen delegates from this county are friends and supporters of Watson. Of these ten the ones who had decided to vote against him in the event of a contest against New did so because they felt morally obligated to the winner of the primary election." This element would not enter Into a contest between Watson and Hays. In such a contest personal preference would dictate the vote of each delegate. Richmond Democrats were wondering today who the candidates would be to enter the lists for the Democratic nomination for the office vacated by the death of Senator Shively. Quite a number of them would like to see Thomas Taggart selected as the running mate of John Worth Kern. Others are advocating the nomination of Governor Ralston. Wayne delegates to the Democratic 6tate convention have so far expresspd no preference as to a candidate for ithis nomination.
