FEDERAL HELP AVAILABLE FOR ROAD BUILDING
The taxpayers in Wayne county were informed last evening, through the medium of Lester E. Boykin, of! Washington, D. C, federal road engineering expert, that Wayne county may have the services of an expert road engineer to supervise the construction of a road In Wayne county without any expense whatever to the county. Mr. Boykin spoke before a poorly attended meeting at the high school auditorium, where he presented the subject of "Good Roads," and showed by stereopticon slides how the county could be saved hundreds of dollars by building the right kind of roads in the proper way. . While in Wayne county, Mr. Boykin, who is touring the state in company with Road Expert Tobin, took photographs of Wayne county roads. The importance of good drainage for roads was emphasized by the speaker. He said that freezing injures the road much more than thawing and that if a road is properly drained, both in the matter of a proper crown and also the proper underdraining, freezing will not injure it so much. The government is sending out special road engineers, without expense to the tax payers of a county, who will supervise the construction ofa road according to the latest im-J urns See your dentist tmUi yearty.
