"DOC" HAROLD HELPS LOCALS FILL NETTING

ALEXANDRIA. Ind., Feb. lS.-r the fact that the Richmond polo teaman an exhibition with the Indianapolis crew before the Alexandria fans here last night, defeated the Indians 11 to Z, is but coincidental with the real feature of the evening a Keystone thriller entitled, "When Dr. Heber Hall Harold Became Peeved." It all happened in the third act of last night's humorous performance. Richmond had set the pace for the Indianapolis crew from start. Sox. Lou Quigley and Evans had just banged a trio of markers past the wobbling shin-pads of the erratic Mr. Tubby May, Indian goal tend. And to top off this rather disgusting performance. Tubby missed a couple more drives that failed to stay in the Indian coop. And every time the Quakers totaled "Doc" became a bit more peeved. Quigley Banks Pill. The climax was reached when Lou Quigley, copping the ball from rush, banked to the wainscoating and then catching the sphere on the rebound slammed the ball into the Indian pen. The terrific force of the drive caused the pellet to shoot out of the cage. Dr. Heber Hall Harold, he of the cheerful disposition, just couldn't stand it any longer. Copping the ball fiom scrimmage he returned the s-phere to a point a few feet to the fore of Mr. Mays. With the remark, "Stop that you sunfish," Harold took one awful swipe at that little red spheriod. May missed the drive by sixteen inches and Harold was accredited with the eleventh and final Quaker marker. Summary Goals. L. Quigley, 5; O. Quigley, 4; Lewis. 3; Harold, 2; Long, Evans. Rushes, L. SOUTHERN DRUG MERCHANT MAXES UNUSUAL STATEMENT

Great Business Losses Due, to Neglect

W. WITHERS MILLER President of the Polk-Miller Drug Company, Richmond, Va., is authority for the following extraordinary statement: "I estimate that the business men of this country could increase their efficiency fully ten per cent by taking an occasional laxative and'not neglecting the bowels as most of them do." He also said that if the Department of Commerce In Washington -would present each business man in the country -with a box of Rexall Orderlies, It would be of great benefit to. the national welfare. Rexall Orderlies are prompt in action, pleasant to take and never gripe, can be used by men, -women or children, and are-just the thing for toning up sluggish livers. POSTAL TEAM WANTS BERTH IN 1 9 1 6 LEAGUE

That membership Of the City Commercial amateur baseball league may necessarily be Increased to ten vas intimated today when representatives of four mercantile concerns of the city asked for league berths. Nine teams have either asked for admittance or have agreed to have representatives at the February 24 organization meeting to be held at the Y. M. C, A.

In a communication to the Palladium sport department this morning Charles Stoddard, field captain and director of the Postal Fed team of the '15 Commercial circuit, says "as representative of the Postal Feds I w ish to say that we wiil be represented at the organination meeting of the Commercial league. We expect to land our old berth." Frank Kiser, who with Bob Wiechman, Carl Cutter and "Kak" Keseler organized the Banker crew of pennant aspiring fame, intimate that the "brokers" will be there -with the chimes attached. Ollie Otten, Jim Harrington, Charles Klinger and A. W. Pfeiffer promise to see to It that the Knights of -Columbus team is a feature of the Commercial map of 1916. Even the Press team, that led the tailend division of the Commercial from the bottom up, last year has agreed to place a team in the field that will do better than the club of 1915.

ADD 4 MORE ROUNDS

That promoters of the Quaker City boxing show to be staged at the Eagles' hall next Wednesday night, plan to give the local duke colony "their money's worth," is evidenced by the ennouncement that Homer Dils and Jack Nortn, two W:ayne county lads of husky proportions,, will put on a side attraction of four rounds. George Little of the University of Cincinnati, will referee the Richmond Quaker-Cincinnati Christ church game at the Coliseum tonight. James Harrington of Richmond, will be master of ceremonies in the Richmond-Wayne-town high school clash. First game of the double bill at-the Coliseum will be called at 7:45 o'clock.

The combination of basketball jerseys, rubber soled shoes, noise and striped stockings that left the Y. M. C. A. building early last evening bound for the Earlham gym, where "the Earlham team was to be shown up," was quite docile and uncommunicative on its return to the city proper late last night. Just what happened out there amid the peace and quietude of old Earlham has not been definitely ascertained today. 'Tia rumored, however, that the Earlhamites today deny the assertion that they have not won a game this season. The figures of the affair, it is said, were 30 to 18.

During a recent examination of th waiters employed in New York city, 1 per cent, was found to be afflicted with contagious diseases.
