MILTON, Ind., Feb. 7. The C. W. B. M. of the Christian church, held an interesting open meeting at the basement of the church, Friday evening. The members each were allowed to invite a guest making in all a com

anan and Hannah with the boy Samuel. Mrs. L. E. Thompson gave, "The Work in Korea," and illustrated it with several excellent stories. A devotional service was conducted and prayers were given on special subjects, the service being conducted by Mrs. Elizabeth Kimmel, who gave the prayer for Peace, and F. M. Jones the prayer for "The Men and Millions." All repeated the twenty-third psalm in concert. The new organization, "The Young Ladies Circle," not yet fully completed was present and gave some special work. Mrs. C. J. Coppock who Is an enthusiastic worker in the Mission work is organizing, "A Young Ladles Circle" of the Christian church. The work Is not complete. of a shooting scrape at Cottage Grove, three miles east of Liberty, M. A. Hoppas, ' 26, station agent for the C. & O. railroad, is held for the shooting ' of Bennett Weatherly, 35, a car repairer. The trouble occurred Satur day morning, and Hoppas was brought . to Liberty, and Weatherly was taken ; to a hospital in Cincinnati. WILLIAM FOCHT. EATON Funeral services for William Focht, 77, who died Saturday in Dayton, were held Monday afternoon in St. Paul's M. E. church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J. C. Shaw. Burial in Mound Hill cemetery. Death occurred at the home of a daughter, Mrs. William Renner, with whom he had resided some time, and was the result of paralysis. The deceased was born at Miamisburg.
