SCHOOLS PREPARE TO TEACH BIBLE
Nearly one hundred copies ot the "Outline of Bible Study tor Indiana High Schools" have been sold by Mr. Pickell to Sunday school superintendents of local churches, who have taken up the newly inaugurated plan' of Bible study. Classes have been formed at the East Main Street Friends, First English Lutheran, First Christtlan. First Presbyterian and First Baptist churches. Rev. Mr. Wallace called at the high school and purchased ten copies of the syllabus for his classes. Other churches in the city are co-operating and will start as soon as ie pastors have' aunanimoualy agreed to the proposition. High school pupils seem to take much interest in the Bible study plan and many have joined wt o have never been in a class of this kind before. Several boys have former a "Booster" League tor one local church and are getting many new members for their Bible classes. Mr. Pickell is highly pleased at the co-operation 01 the local churches and thinks the plan will work very satisfactorily.
Wants Leap-Year Girl Bashful Man Offers Himself as Willing Sacrifice to Women During Open Season for Eligible Bachelors.
IVe read about the leap-year girl Since first inclined to love's young dream. We often meet in fiction's realm Where like a queen she reigns supreme But though I've hunted far and wide In life! she never greets my scan. . I know I'd love a girl like that For I'm a very bashful man. Please, Mr. Editor be kind And print this halting verse of mine. Some leap year girl may read it then And write to me a tender line. I want to hear from some such girl But sometimes fear I never can. Yes, I would love a girl like that, Though I'm a very bashful man. Victor Thanet.
