The river rose slowly during the night and was near the 43-foot stage today. FARMERS MOVE OUT VINCENNES, Ind., Jan. 14. Farmers are moving out of the Wabash valley, fearing a repetition of the 1913 flood. The river continues to rise despite the extreme cold wave which struck this city last night.
Seats for the first boxing show to be held under the auspices of the new
Quaker City Athletic club at Eagles'
hall Tuesday night are going rapidly.
-Jack Dillon, the Hoosler bearcat,
who is in line for the world s heavy
weight championship, probably will be here to help his brother, Tommy, who
is matched to box ten rounds with Ter
ry Nelson of Philadelphia. Dillon and Nelson have met before, their last match ending in a ten-round draw. Red Snyder of Cincinnati and Tommy Gary of Dayton will box ten rounds. They should put up a corking good bout, as both are strong and willing.
Frankie Mason and Jack Cronin are hooked up for ten rounds. Both lads are fast. Lou Bauman of Cincinnati will referee the fights.

PLAN FOR SURVEYS IN OTHER PLACES
Since Richmond has taken the lead in an organized" effort to determine what kind o: vocational ' training should be ' Inaugurated in the ' public schools, the vocational department of the state board has become active and will employ an expert from New York to conduct similar surveys, though not as extensive, in other cities in the state. The - Richmond - survey, -. bo '- ever, will be the most exhaustive ever conducted in the Ui 'ted States. The nearest approach, to .the Richmond sur
vey were those of Richmond. Via, and Hammond. Ind. Neither, however, is a typical American city for educational conditions to Richmond. Va- correspond with genenl condition In the south, while In Hammond the city has witnessed an abnormal growth due to factories.- y , ,: , - WRECK DELAYS TRAIN
