MILOURIi ELECTRIC CUTS SNOW DRIFTS IN SEVERE TESTS

Persons living on Main street were amazed a week ago last' Wednesday morning when they arose and gazed across a vast expanse of deep snow to see a light electric tearing down the street, throwing the snow tight and left and breaking the way for many heavier cars which were to follow. The car was a Milburn light electric and it was occupied by President E. M. Anderson, and H. R. Marlatt, salesman of , the Richmond Electric company, 19 SouU Seventh street. These men were out bright and early to demonstrate the power of the Milburn electric and its ability to travel In all sorts of weather. The demonstration was continued throughout the day and the performance was such that sales resulted. The snow test was the last of a long series conducted by the Richmond Electric company to prove that the Milburn electric, although almost a ton lighter than the average electric.

is yet able to conquer all road con-, ditions. The car first was tested on

hills around Richmond, then in deep sand, later in mud, and in each case its performance was beyond criticism. The dealers were not the only persons who tested Milburn cars in Wednesday's snow, however, for several owners were out with their cars, and many were so enthusiastic over the car's performance that they telephoned the dealers to tell them about pulling out of drifts and other equally

astonishing accomplishments. Richmond owners have reported that they

are getting seventy miles to the charge easily with the Milburn, and some report that they have traveled in excess

of seventy-eight miles without recharging the batteries.

FORD OFFERED ON PAYMENTS BY BETHARD

For th first time in the history of the Fora car prospective purchasers have been given an opportunity to buy a machine on easy payments. This is not a Ford proposition, but an opportunity offered only by Fred Bet hard, county representative for Ford cars, and is open only to residents of Wayne county. Mr. Bethard is making the offer to

relieve the congestion in his store room, for he gets his regular monthly supply all the year round, and as many people do not want to purchase until spring, he is giving them an opportunity to buy their cars now without paying the full price down. When the warm weather arrives in a few months the rush will begin and people wanting to buy Fords will have to wait weeks or may be months before it will be possible to get their cars. Those Interested In the plan are invited to call at the garage and Mr.

Bethard or one of his salesmen will be glad to outline the proposition in detail.
