HORSE BUYERS AWAIT AUCTION OF PERCIIERONS
Farmers are looking forward with eagerness to the salo of Wooded Percheron horses owned by. O. H.. Scantland of Williamsburg, which will be put on the block at 10 o'clock Monday morning at Taube's barn ' on North Sixth street, with Auctioneer Fred Rippert handling the gavel. Mr. Rippert has the reputation of being the greatest horse salesman la the middle west and an expert horseman who is able and honest and who points out not only the good points of an animal but the bad ones as well if it has any. Sixteen head will be sold at this sale including 13 mares and fillies', one stud colt, CarhM. who was aired by the greatest campion of them all Carnotr Bluetta, the outstanding mare of ihe t herd - and Indiana's Pride, ' a Belgian stallion, coming two years old and one of the most promising in the-jmarket, having been .sired by Blatnaflc II de Stuyv. Wayne county is fast- coming to the
front as a breeding center and with the demand for horses which follow the European war there is no better investment that a farmer can make. All the mares off ered in . the sale are safely in foal to Carbon. - , . Nothing could induce Mr. Scantland to part with one of these animals if it was not for the fact that he has large land interests in Ark- 3s which require his personal attention.
