rJ3ANCS OV1MET; Francis Ouimet, one time open and amateur golf champion of the United

States, has accepted the challenge of

Max Marston, the New York golfer to

a game of hockey to be played by wellknown golfers. Some time ago Marston conceived the idea that golf players would make good hockey players and gathered together a number of New York golfers who also play hockey. Then he sent his challenge broadcast. Ouimet who has been a devotee of the ice game for many years accepted the defi and has rallied ten expert golfers around him. Every man on the Boston roster has had a great deal of experience on the ice and Ouimet feels confident that his team of links-rinksmen will defeat the New York aggregation. The

time and place for the game have not

yet been decjded.
