All brands of weather, including temperatures ranging from 10 below zero in the Canadian northwest, to 70 above on the east coast of Florida, with a dash of snow here and there and heavy rains and sleet in .many sections, were dished up to the people today over the vast expanse. of country between the Gulf coast and Minnesota and from the western section plains country to the Great Lakes. A disturbance which made its appearance in Kansas two days ago moved slowly southward to Western Arkansas yesterday, moved northeastward into South Missouri during .the night and was today whipping its way up through Illinois and Indiana,, bringing with it heavy rain and sleet in the southern and central sections and snow in the northern end of those states. In Eastern Kansas and Oklahoma the storm was doing business with the aid of strong gales.
