HIGH BASKETBALL TEAM AWAITS HEW CASTLE FIVE
Henry County Rooters Engage Special Car to Bring Down Boys and Girls for Game.
Bear Story Claims Members of Team Injured, But : Lo- . . cals Put Little Faith in Dope.
: The Richmond high school basketball team is about ready for the fray with New Castle at the Coliseum Friday night. The team will have plenty of encouragement, for the largest band of rooters that ever attended a'game here is expected to turn out. --- "Chick" Griffith. Bob Phillips and Bob Smith will be the cheer leaders and they have some new yells ready. The girls too have not been idle and they have practiced a number of new songs for the occasion. At New CaaUe a spirit of confidence prevails and the entire student body Is looking forward anxiously to the
game. About seventy students "have engaged a special car to be attached to the train carrying the team and will be on hand to root. A section of seats on the south side has been reserved for them. Richmond rooters will occupy the seats . on . the north side. The New Castle team will go into the game Friday night handicapped by injuries, as Kampe, captain. Gordon and Law son all received injuries in the game last Wednesday that will hinder them in their -play. The Hartford City game may prove to have put a crimp In the plans for victory over Richmond, but the New Castle boys are game and will die fighting, so a good, fast clean contest is assured. It is likely that some new faces may appear on the New Castle squad Friday night as the work of the team at Hartford City was very unsatisfactory to the coaches. . If this proves to be true Richmond's chances for victory are better than good for Porter, Brown and Pitts are veterans and have played against New Castle and know something of their style; of play. Meranda and. Parker have never faced the New Castle boys but all they have! to do is to play the same game- they have- so far this season and on the dope it looks like victory for the locals.

Charles Herzog Despite the rumors emanating from all over the National League circuit that Herzog, Clark and another Cincinnati player is to be traded to the Braves in return for Evers, Gowdy and Schmidt, it is announced here that Herzog will not leave the Cincinnati club. In fact Herzog has a contract with the club which would enable him to stay even if the owners wished to trade him.

Good Time to Buy Furs Custom has made Christmas week a great Fur buying occasion. The merchants provide liberal stocks and frequently offer unusually attractive prices. But furs are something that must be bought with caution. There is plenty of room for deception for the foisting off of cheap skins under high sounding names. The buyer should patronize the store of sound repute where a guarantee is certain. And the guide to such stores will be found in the advertising in The Palladium.
Of 18,000 cigar makers in Italy, 16,100 are women.
SAGE TEA DARKENS HAIR TO ANY SHADE
Don't Stay Gray! Here's a Simple Recipe That Anybody Can Ap
ply with a Hair Brush. I The use of 8age and Sulphur for re- j storing faded, gray hair to its natural j ;olor dates back to grandmother's 'uime. She used to keep her hair beautifully dark, glossy and abundant. Whenever her hair fell out or took or, that dull, faded or streaked appearance, this simple mixture was applied a-ith wonderful effect. I But brewing at home is mussy and Jut of date. Nowadays, by asking at j any drug store for a 50 cent bottle of j "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound," you will get this famous old j recipe, which can be depended upon to i restore natural color and beauty to the j lair, and is splendid for dandruff, dry, i
feverish, itcby scalp and falling hair. A well-known downtown druggist says it darkens the hair so naturally and evenly that nobody can cell it has been applied. You simply dampen a sponge or soft hair brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one strand at a time. By morning the gray hair disappears, and after notber application or two, it becomes beautifully dark, glossy, soft nd abundant. Adv.
