DR. KELLY IN RECEIPT OF WILSON'S TOAST AT CLOSING OF FAIR

President R. L- Kelly of, Earlham college Is In receipt of the' following toast: by President Wilson, which will be released at the Panama-Pacific exposition Saturday at high noon, when the fair closes: "Panama-Pacific International exposition: ...v.;: ' ':': :',v: ;-; "Which In its inception and successful accomplishments gave striking evidence of the practical and artistic tastes of the American people; "Which in its interesting and unusual exhibits offered impressive illustration of the development of the arts of peace; "And which in its motive and object was eloquent of the new spirit which Is to unite east and west and make all the world partners in the common enterprises of progress and humanity." A request has been made that colleges and civic organizations hold a service for the closing of the exposition. Earlham has not decided upon plans for the event.

any Friends to accompany him. President Kelly of Earlham Collegef was asked for an expression today and 1

said:' "While I don't know a think about the matter, it may be that Quakers have been invited whom we know nothing about. I do not know of any who avebeea invited .and yet I do not know that none iiave."

LEARNER HANDS OUT STATE RESOLUTIONS

Secretary E. M. Learner has issued for publication a resolution, adopted at the recent state convention of T. M. C. A. secretaries held in Huntington. The resolution reads as follows: "Resolved that the YOung Men's Christian Associations of the State of Indiana unite in requesting the newspapers which come into our Reading Rooms to eliminate all liquor advertising from their columns. "We urgently recommend, in sight of the final struggle for a Dry Indiana that this be done, if possible, before January 1, 1916. We urge that each individual Association immediately notify the different newspapers which come into its building of the action taken by this State convention."
