THE RICHMOND PALLADIUM AND SUN-TELEGRAM,

Y7ESTC0TT ORDERS TREBLE IN 1915-6 SALESMEN STATES That the 1916 Westcott models have won ft prominent place In the front rank of the automobile Industry la evidenced by the fact that the Westcott, Motor Car company reports an increase In sales of over 300 per cent more than last year. In an interview today, H. P. Mammen, general sales manager, said: "While it is very gratifying to note such an Increase, still there is nothing so remarkable about it when it is considered that our policy has been to build our cars Just as good as man is allowed to build an automobile and regardless of the fact that many price reductions have been offered this year, they always will be a demand for highgrade cars. The American public is ever ready to recognise honesty of construction and quality above price. "Of course, this increase makes us feel pretty good, not only because our efforts to build a good automobile have been recognized, but because we know we have given honest value, and that, after all. Is the only way to do business."

ELECTRIC SALESMAN VISITS CITY AGENCY

R. H. Rldenour, district sales manager for the Mllburn electric, was a visitor today at the Richmond Electric company, local agent for the car, and was enthusiastic on the outlook for the coming year. He said that Indiana was furnishing the company with a lot of orders, and' that the Mllburn factory was turning out more electric machines than any other concern in the business. The light electric, after the type of j the Mllburn, has come to stay, and it was Mr. Ridenour's opinion that it is only a question of a short time when other manufacturers will pattern after ! the Mllburn, and put lighter machines on the market.

OVERLAND AGENCY WANTS MORE CARS A carload of Overlands was unloaded yesterday for the Talcott Sales agency, which is the only exclusive automobile agency in the city. Every machine .now on hand has been sold, and more are expected to arrive shortly. The Willys-Knight is making a lot of friends here and those who have had it demonstrated to them are unanimous in praising its easy riding qualities, and the work of the Knight engine with which the car is equipped. Mr. Talcott has ordered another carload of them. On December 10 he will show' a new model Overland selling at $615. DESCRIBES MERITS OF SAXON SPRINGS

Irvin Reed & Son are giving a series of talks on certain features of the Saxon car, and are first taking up spring suspension. A special form of cantilever, designed particularly for the Sax by the Standard Steel Spring company, is used for the entire suspension of the car. Their advantages are, least of side-sway, steadiness of the car at high Bpeed, close adherence to the road, extremely comfortable riding and restful driving, owing to the absorption of road shock throughout an unusually long section, with little jar finally transmitted to the car, instead of more instantly communicated vibrations in three-quarter or semi-elliptic suspensions. In addition, the Saxon cantilevers are of vanadium steel throughout.

Xote tin; ease in shifting the gears by simply pushing the button conveniently located in the center of the steering wheel. By pushing out the clutch, the shift is accomplished without the frantic reach for the shifting lever, thus overcoming a feature in other cars most objectionable to women.

The Two Passenger Roadster The two styles of roadsters this year, namely, the one-seat two-passenger type and the three-seat three-passenger type, afford a desirable selection to the purchaser and meet a most popular demand. Note the location of the two-passenger roadster seat. It is almost midway between front and rear wheel centers, giving perfect balance and easy riding qualities. The two-passenger roadster has but one seat of generous proportions, comfortably holding two large persons with plenty of leg room and unusual space behind the steering wheel. The space in the rear is for the storage of suit cases or luggage. It is a sturdy looking car in every respect and capable of all-round hard usage.

The Clover Leaf Roadster The three-pasenger Clover Leaf Roadster is a clasy looking, distinctive car. It is styled "Clover Leaf" because of the arrangement of the three individual seats somewhat in the shape of a three-leaf clover. The two front seats are divided, leaving an aisle-way to the rear seat and affording ample leg room for all three passengers. Of course the entrance to the car is by the door In the front compartment. The rear seat is really an emergency seat, or if there is no third passenger the space can be very conveniently used for luggage. This arrangement gives a most attractive appearance to the car ail three seats being large high-backed, and with comfortable ar mrests. They are Just big. "cushiony." library chairs, invitiug to ease, restfulness and luxurious comfort. The streamline effect of both roadster types produces a most pleasing design. The same quality and finish go into both these roadster types as is put into the touring car which is the standard car of the year.

Don't buy your Automobile until you see this great display of Pullmans. Everyone is full automobile value and no other car on the market today can beat the Pullman when it comes to quality, prices and appearance. Again we extend you our most cordial invitation to attend our opening and display.
