George Sbowalter died of apoplexy at bla borne in Brownsville, four miles west Of here, Tuesday morning. He had been in falling health for some time. The funeral was held this afternoon at the home. He is survived by his widow and three children. Grocery Change Hands. The grocery and meat market own ed by J. M. Freeman has been sold to H. E. Page of Olendale, O. Mr. Page has been In the grocery business in Glendale, and will come to Liberty December 1. Mrs. M. D. Cross came Tuesday from Indianapolis to make an extended visit with E. J. Douthit and family and other relatives. Mrs. Burton Clark was shopping in Connersvllle Tuesday. Miss Mary Margaret Dooley is the guest of Miss Genevive Smith at Cambridge City. Mrs. C. C. Beard gave a thimble party at her home Monday afternoon in honor of Miss Madge Blankenship or Nashville, Tenn., who is the guest of relatives here. Mrs. Ora Crull returned to her home in Milwaukee Tuesday after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Smith. ., , Miss Elizabeth Drapier entertained at her home Tuesday evening, Misses Clarissa Shock, Lou Shoupe, Corrine Snyder, Park Snyder, Henry Reiman, Warren Wannee and Francis Heeb Of Conner8ville. Misses Mildred and Adelaide Maibach entertained Tuesday evening at their home, Misses Bessie Roach, Bessie Colyers, Bertha Campbell, Minnie Morgan aud Mrs. Walter Bossert. The high school basketball team played a team composed of the alumni of the school Tuesday evening and defeated them with a score of 50 to 16. I CENTERVILLE Miss Alice Maudlin of Georgestown, III., was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Haworth during the week end, and will spend a few days with Mrs. Cora Mason of Richmond.
