TEdPERANGE SPEAKERS MAKE PLEA FOR MORE THOROUGH ORGANIZATION

Nation-wide, non-political prohibition was advocated by James K. Cox, f Indianapolis, editor of the Indiana lection of the American Issue, a perttdlcal devoted to the interests of the

temperance cause. In two interesting addresses, Sunday at the Reid Mem rial church and St. Paul's Lutheran church. He occupied the pulpit of the former chnrch at the morning

services and at 7:30 o'clock was the principal speaker at the evening services of the latter. Six representatives of the ' Anti-Saloon League spoke in Richmond Protestant churches Sunday in following out the arrangements of 4 program for services of this kind. Other Protestant churches,' whose previously arranged plans prevented them from having temperance speakers yesterday will secure them later in the winter. Mr. Cox argued in favor of the unanimous support first of men to the

national congress who would rapport the Hobson resolution providing for national prohibition and selection of state legislators who would endorse a prohibitory law In the event the Congressional bill Is again defeated. evening services of the Whitewater Friends' church.. " .
