MACHINES ASKED TO DRIVE SLOWLY THROUGH BRIDGE MLDDLEBORO, Ind.. Nov. 18 Drivers of automobiles have been asked to drive slow through and, near the covered bridge at Middleboro. A few days ago an auto coming from the north ran into the bridge and collided with the buggy that Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Randwehr and Raymond Bailey were driving, breaking the front wheels of the buggy and badly damaging the machine. The Ladies' Aid society gave Mrs. Joe Thomas a surprise visit Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jeffries have moved to Richmond. Mr. Jeffries is working for the Standard Oil company Mr. and Mrs. Craydon Jordan of Richmond spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Albright.... Mrs. Myrtle ThomALARMED OVER FATE OF MME. GROUITCH Friends in this country of Mme. Slavko Grouitch are worried today about her safety. Mme. Grouitch was formerly Miss Mabel Dunlop of Clarksburg, W. Va. Her husband is the Serbian permanent under secretary of foreign affairs. She was an Intimate friend of Mrs. Grover Cleveland and Mrs. John A. Logan, under whose auspices she made her debut in Mrs. Logan's home. Correcting Hair Faults And Other Aids to Beauty Dandruff, Itchy scalp, thin, scraggly and falling hair are easily overcome If one will give the hair the proper attention and the proper means are employed. The first step in correcting hair faults Is to have a perfectly clean scalp, free from all grease, dirt and excess oil; then the liberal application of a good tonic ever night for a few weeks will produce results that will be astonishing. To- free the scalp of excess oil, dandruff and dirt, there is nothing that equals a teaspoonful of eggol dissolved in a cup of hot water and used as a shampoo wash. This should be used every two weeks. No better hair tonic can be made than the simple mixture of half a pint alcohol, half a pint water and one ounce of beta-quinol; this should be massaged into the scalp nightly. A few weeks of this treatment and all hair troubles should vanish. Blackheads should never be pinched out; this only makes large pores and does not get rid of the blackheads. The only safe and sure way Is to dissolve them. Just get about two ounces of powdered neroxin from your drug-1 gist, sprinkle a little on a hot, wet sponge or cloth; rub briskly over the blackheads and in a few minutes you will find that the blackheads have been dissolved away entirely and the skin left without any mark whatever. Women who have rought, red hands and arm 9 will be surprised to see how estquinltc tho skin will become after a fvsw applications of a cream lotion sufcde by? dissolving cue ounce of zlntone in a pint of hot water, adding a tablespoonful of giycerlne. adv.

Mrs. George Newbern took dinner Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Craig in Richmond. ELLIOTT HEADS ELIGIBLE LIST Howard Elliott, who has been acting as substitute rural carrier for the past year, is practically sure of bis appointment as regular carrier under the motorization of routes. It is understood that his grade is at the top of the list and that he has bjeen recommended by Postmaster Beck for the position. Elliott attended Earlbam college for three years. The bones of the average man weight fourteen pounds. PAIN GONE! RUB SORE, RHEUMATIC ACHING JOINTS Rub pain away with a small trial bottle of old, penetrating "St. Jacob's Oil." Jacobs Oil" from any drug store, and in a moment, you'll be free from pains, acnes und sliffness. Don't suffer! Rub rheumatism away. Adv. . To People Who Are Under Normal Weight Good Advice For Thin, Undeveloped Men and Women Who Want to Put on Flesh. Thousands of people suffer from excessive thinness, weak nerves and feeble stomachs who, having tried ad vertised flesh-makers, food-fads, phys-i leal culture stunts and rub-on creams, resign themselves to life-long skinniness and thing nothing will make them fat. Yet their case Ib not boneless. A recently discovered combination or : assimilative agents has made fat grow after years of thtnnees, and it . is also uriequaled, judging from re-j ports, for repairing the waste or bickness or faulty digestion and for strengthening the nerves. This remarkable preparation is called Sargol. Six strength giving, fat producing assimilative elements of acknowledged merit have been combined in this preparation, which is endorsed and used by prominent people everywhere., It is absolutely harmless, inexpensive and efficient. A few weeks' systematic use of Sargol should go far to produce flesh and strength by correcting faults of digestion and by supplying nourishing fats to the blood. !If not, every druggist who sells it Is authorized to return the purchase price. Increased nourishment is obtained from the food eaten, and the additional fats that thin people need are thus provided. AH leading druggists supply Sargol and say there is a large demand for It. While this new preparation has, from reports, given splendid results as a nerve tonic and vitalizer, its use is not recommended to nervous people unless they wish to gain at least ten pounds of flesh.
