The company has declared its willingness to take those teachers who cannot arrange to go s on the special, on, the limited- car which leaves at 7:30 yciock for the same price. DEATHS AND FUNERAL8. - MARTIN Mrs. Ana Martin, aged 76 years, tor many years a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, died Tuesday afternoon at her home, 1202 Butler street. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's church at 10 o'clock Friday morning. Father Cronin officiating. Burial In Earlham cemetery. Friends nay call at any time. STANTON Bridget Ptanton died last night at her home, 400 North Thirteenth ', street at the Age of 67 years. She is survived by two sons, John Stanton of Chicago and Frank Stanton of this city; two daughters, Miss Mamie Stanton and Mrs. Andrew Torbeck of Richmond. Funeral will take place at 9 o'clock Friday morning from St. Mary's church Burial in -St. Mary's cemetery. Friends may call at any time.
8ELGIAN MINISTER ASKS AID OF U.S.
WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 E. HavenUh, minister from Belgium to the United - States, has appealed to Secretary of State Lansing to intervene with Germany on behalf of 32 prisoners, presumably Belgians, who have been sentenced to death by a German court martial in Belgium it was heard today. Secretary, Lansing - Instructed Ambassador Gerard at' Berlin to investigate the cases and if the action would be proper to make representations to the German foreign office in behalf of the condemned persons.

UNION TAILOR DIES IN CHICAGO STRIKE
; CHICAGO. Oct. 27. One striking unionist is dead and three other men were suffering from gunshot wounds today, the result of a riot last night In connection with the strike of clothing workers In Chicago. Samuel Kapper. aged 85, a deaf and dumb tailor who was oh picket duty, was shot and fatally wounded and three other men. one a bystander, were slightly wounded In the rioting, in which about ten
shots were r fired. Tony Panichi, a
nonunion man, was arrested shortly afterward, charged with the shooting. He confessed he had fired one shot, and there was one empty chamber in his revolver. A score of persons who were near-when the rioting started.

ing about one he had received from a man who bought a ticket from here to Cleveland and stopped off for a few days at a little burg and then caught a train and when the conductor made him pay an additional tare became indignant and said the railroad company was a bunch of swindlers and wrote a letter to Emory that was so hot that the paper fairly scorched the hand when picked up. Mr. Emory says that It Is a common occurrence for people to buy tickets for a certain point and listen to him most carefully as to the place where, they change cars and when they make a mistake and -have to lay over for hours to write letters back complaining about his inefficiency. .
