SCORES OF WOMEN FILL COURT ROOM

One of the interesting sidelights on the Hasemeier-Bentlage trial, which is in progress at the court house, is the unusual number of women who have been attracted. Monday afternoon, the first day of the trial, there were at least twenty-five women In the court rooiMbesides fifteen women feno ' are interested in the case. j-..v The popularity of Mies Louise BentlagG.'Who waacashier and bookkeeper f of J the Boston Store for over fifteen years, is one reason for the intense interest, it is believed. The wide acquaintance of both the Hasemeler and Bentlage families is also given as another reason.'

How She Acquired s -' v ' "Feminine Charm"

.- A' 'nlcely-dressedrwoman sat' beside . me in the train.' Everyone started at ' her. - It was not her beauty of. feature that held our eyes, nor her costume. But there was something about her v face and expression! risked it and askedr-' "Would ;you mind telling me how you keep" your complexion - so

s dazzlingly pure? Don't think me im-

-iertlnent, but you seem over SO, yet . haven't a line in your face, and your cheeks are quite peach-like. How' do you do it?" Laughing, she said: That's easy; , t remove my skin. Sounds shocking, doesn't it? But listen. Instead of cosmetics I use only-pure mercolized wax, procurable at any druggist's. I ' apply thia nightly, like cold ; cream, . washing It off mornings. This gently absorbs the soiled, weather-beaten ' flim-BkUt, without palp or discomfort, .thus revealing the fresh, clear under'skin. Every . woman has a beautiful complexion underneath, you know. Then, to ward off wrinkles I use a .face bath made by dissolving powdered saxoliteC one ounce) : in one-half ' pint witch hazel a harmless astringent ' which .'tones the skin -i wonderfully. Very simple. Isn't it?" 1 thoguht so. I'm now trying her plan and like It Immensly. Millicent Brown in The Story Teller. adv. i

AMessdge to Thin , " Weak: Scrawny -'Folks An Easy Way to Gain 10 to 30 Pounds Of Solid, Healthy Permanent Flesh. Thin, nervous, undeveloped. . men and women everywhere are heard to aa y," "I can't understand why 1 do not get tat. ; I eat plenty of good nourishing food." . The ''reason. Is. just this: You cannot get .fat, . no . matter, how much you eat, " unless" ydur . digestive

organs assimilate th?. fat-making ele

ments or your.iopa insteaa ox passing (hem out through' the body as waste What is needed- is a means of gently' urging .the assimilative functions of the stomach and intestines to absorb the oils and fats and hand them over to the blood, where they may reach the starved, shrunken, run-dOwn tissues and build them up. The thin persons' body , is like a dry Bponge--eager and hungry "tot the. fatty materials of . which it Is . being deprived by the failure of the alimentary canal to take them from the food. A splendid way of working to overcome this sinful waste of flesh building elements and to stop the leakage of fats Is to try Sargol, the famout flesh building agent that has been so widely sold in America In recent years. Take a little Sargol tablet with - every meal and see if your cheeks don't quickly fill out and rolls of firm, healthy' flesh form over your body, covering each bony angle and projecting point.- -Lee H. Fihe, Richmond,. Ind., and other good druggists have Sargol or can get it from their wholesaler, and will refund your money If you are not satisfied with the -gain . in weight it produces as stated on the guarantee -in each large package. It la Inexpensive, easy to take and highly efficient. NOTE Sargol is recommended only; as a flesh builder and while excellent results In cases of nervous indigestion etc., have been reported, care shoult be taken about using it unless a gaii ol weight Is desired. adv.

MAKE SINGLE TRAGI ON GRAVEL ROADWAY

BANISHES NERVOUSNESS

"Stay in the track when driving on a gravel road and use all the surface when on a macadam road,' Is the advise given to automobile drivers by County Road Superintendent Jones. He said that it is easier to keep gravel roads In repair when a single track Is used Instead of driving from one side of the road to the other. When the surface of the road Is soft during wet weather, the tracks are always harder than the surface of the road on either' side of the tracks, he said, and consequently ruts are made in the road which are harder to repair. "Sweating coins' Is the practice of shaking gold coins In a bag until some part of the metal Is worn off. In this way a considerable amount of gold dust can be collected.
