Of all of Mr. Walter's stage plays . non was . ever so ; popular as "Fine Feathers." ranged in five ' parts, each one. , of which possesses thrills enough for two ordinary "motiet," this release will

find a ready response among theatre

patrons of all tnkda. . One does not have to be a Corelli fan to appreciate the superb work of Miss Reglna Badet in the role of the faithless Nina Romsni. Neither does he need' fear that he will be shocked by the grewsome incidents of the story for here, If anywhere, the motion camera demonstrates Its power to retain every dramatic essential without unnecessarily prolonging or emphasising the unpleasant parts of the story. - Miss Reglna Badet la not a regular picture actress.- The producers searched Paris for a woman capable of doing justice to the part of Countess Nina Roman!. The beautiful, sweet-faced Nina, faithless, heartless, yet withal so appeaUngly feminine that she constantly challenges, the bitter hatred and weakens the solemn oath of Fabio Roman! to destroy her, Is a role quite beyond the ' powers of ordinary , picture players. ; '

' No finer distinction could be drawn between genuine farce . comedy, and the slapstick stuff that is too frequently dignified by the epithet, than is exhibited in , t'The Galloper," the first of the Gold Rooster Plays. And with . one regretable exception there has been no attempt on the part of the director to improve on the business of the play as suggested or Outlined by, Davis..:, . . Clifton Crawford aa the young millionaire, and Melville Stewart as . the war correspondent follow, up in exciting parallel two threads ,of a , atory that eventually tangle themselves into most peculiar and farcial - complications : Fania MarinOff as the ex-wife of the "Galloper," Jessie Ralph as the brewer's widow in love with the "Galloper," and Rye Alexander as the Red Cross

nurse whom the young millionaire follows to the front- in the hope of eventually jnaking her his wife, are all excellent types for' the roles in "which they are cast. David Burton and Sam Moran also, figure favorably among the supporting cast.
