Mrs. Roy Schepman will spend the remainder of the week with relatives in Richmond. Mrs. Frank Marson and son Ralph spent Sunday with friends and relatives at Indianapolis. The Helen Hunt club met Monday afternoon with Mrs. Viola Roth. Papers were read by Mrs. M. R. Krahl and Mrs. Louise Ebert on "Physical Features of Indiana" and "Native Residents of Indiana." Mr. and Mrs. George Stombaugh had as guests Sunday, their son, Harry Stombaugh, and Miss Ellen Murray of Richmond. Mission Society Meets. The Woman's Home Missionary society will meet with Mrs. Sarah Hastings Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Thurman are moving to the Bryan cottage on West Front street. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Whitely, who have resided in Chicago the last two years, will return to Cambridge this week to reside. Mrs. B. F. Griffin has returned home after two weeks spent at Martinsville for the benefit of her health. Miss Julia Boyd, after being out of school a week on account of illness, has resumed here work as art teacher at New Lisbon and Straughns. Miss Catherin Callaway visited her brother, J. G. Callaway and family at Knlghtstown Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kitterman and Mr. and Mrs. John Beard attended the stock sale of W. E. Brown, east of Connersville, Monday. r- , Mr. and Mrs. Benton Wilson, Misses Marie and May Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bryan attended the funeral of William Kemper at Morristown Monday. Returns to Kokomo. Mrs. Bertram Berger, after a week's visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Steele, has returned to her home at Kokomo. Mrs. W. M. Clapper attended the funeral of Patrick Sullivan, a former citizen of this city, at Richmond Sunday. Miss Ethelyn Barnett of Indianapolis is spending the week with her aunt and other relatives here. , J. F. Ebert. of New York city, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ebert of this city, was married to Miss Lenora B Goodhardt, Sunday afternoon ai a o'clock, by the Rev. Father John H. EATON, O., Oct 6. Five indictments were returned late. Tuesday by the October grand Jury following investigations conducted during the last two days. Two of these indictments are. against Charles Sutphin and Irvin Johnson. both of West Alexandria. Other arrests on the indictments are expected to follow shortly. The jury ignored four cases. The indictment against Johnson is for. arson. It is reported that Johnson, a member of the fire company at West Alexandria, set fire to a barn in order that the organization be callout and he be given opportunity to respond to the alarm and earn $2. Johnson got into trouble several months ago and was sent to the industrial school at Lancaster, but was paroled.. The indictment against Sutphin is for assault. CAMPBELLSTOWN, O. I Roy Mann, wife and baby of Eaton spent Sunday with her brother, Frank Thompson. Homer Hart and family spent Sunday with Ed Ervin and family. , Dorothy Miller, 12-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller, fell down cellar Friday evening and broke her collar bone. Dr. Silvers attended her. Clark Shute, wife and son Russel called on Ed Myers and wife at New Hope Sunday. Abe Heilman has been poorly the last few days at the horn of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Loan. Leonard Barnhart and wife spent Sunday wiht Mr. and Mrs. Leland Campbell. R. E. and Pierce Houser spent Saturday night and Sunday with their brother, Emora Houser, near Camden. Sam Conley and wafe, Charles Armstrong and wife spent Sunday with August Sanders and wife. Work on the Dixon township central school building is progressing. School probably will begin some time this month. Mart Kelly and wife of Detroit, called on friends and relatives here last week and attended the fair. Ora Mook is sick. Harry King of New Hope is confined to his bed with typhoid fever. John O'Hara and family, Ora Mettert and wife and O. T. Aydelotte, wife and two children called on Ed Shaffer and family Sunday., Ed Ervin has installed a new gasoline engine in his shop.
