. That the Friends should be positive In tbelr attitude for the right and their hearts Inspired with the love of God was the declaration of Leannah Hobson of Fountain City, who delivered an address before the meeting of ministry and oversight last night at the East Main Street Friends church. The meeting was presided ovef by Rev. Truman C. Ken worthy and was Interesting In that approximately 50 persons gave testimonials. About 150 persons attended. Mrs. Hobson said in part: ' "We, as Christians, should be men and women sent of Christ. There is as great a need as there ever has been

for witnesses of Christ. "Three things are necessary for witnesses. We must be people whose lives back up our testimony. We must testify of that which we know. If we do not know God we cannot testify of him. "Our hearts should be perfected toward God and our minds placed in His service. John the Baptist was simple and unpretentious. He did not drink wine but he was a great witness for Christ. He was filled with the spirit of Christ. "Since we stand in our preaching for the inspiration of the spirit we should be shining lights of his inspiration. "Where is the place other than the church where your wife, sister and daughter can serve on equal standing with men? Nowhere. We Friends should live up to our privileges. In cother Protestant church I know of issionarv who has won her hundn.du but who was compelled to write her report and let some man go before It to read the report because it. was not seemly for her to appear and speak on the platform."
