' SS BOYD GIVES SHOWER FOR BRIDE CAMBRIDGE CITY, lnd.. Sept. 7. Miss Julia Boyd, assisted by her mother, Mrs. H. B. Boyd, gave a miscellaneous shower at their home on West Main street, Friday afternoon, complimentary to Miss Lena Ludlngton, whose approaching marriage to Linvllle Ferguson has already been announced. The rooms were ' handsomely decorated with flowers. In the center of the dining table was placed a large bowl of flowers surrounded by small, candles, about which were arranged in tasteful order, many beautiful miscellaneous gifts, consisting of cut glass, linen, and many other useful and ornamental articles. Ice cream with cherries, coffee and cake were served. Five hundred formed the chief diversion of the afternoon. The guests were: Misses Lena Ludlngton, Carlyle DUtenderfer, . The schools at Milton convened for the early morning hours, then adjourned to resume work In earnest on Tuesday morning. The following are the teachers at Milton: Prof. L. E. Thompson, superintendent; Miss vava Witter, of Lynnftrlfteipal of the high school; Miss Alma. Wagner, eighth year grade; and - Miss Blanche Moore, Miss Marie Snyder and Miss Emma Gingrich. P. CHURCH TO OBSERVE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY WEST MANCHESTER, O.. Spt. 7 -On Sunday. Sept. 19th the Twentyfifth anniversary of the Christian church at this place will be celebrated. Plans have not been completed, but it will probably be an all day service with special music as a feature. SHAW IS RELEASED EATON. O., Sept 7. Leslie Shaw, charged with arson, was released from the county Jail late Saturday under bond of $500. Following the burning of a barn belonging to his father-in-law, David Russell, an affidavit was lstued at the instigation of Assistant State Fire Marshall Miller. Before Justice C. D. Grimes, at Gratis, Shaw waived the right of an examination. Shaw and his wife have been living apart for some time. BLACKSMITHS MEET CRETE. ! Ind..
